The Bride Transaction

The Bride Transaction

They rounded a corner, which usually would be clear, but instead a rabid dog came jumping through a window, taking him by surprise. “Crouch!” She commanded. Todd pressed the button on the side of the rifle, causing his character to lower down. She aimed and one-shot the hound, right in the head. He could not deny that it was pretty damn sexy to see how she handled that rifle, and the way she hyper-focused on the screen was doing things to him he could not put into words.

THE HEIRESS THEY BURRIED

THE HEIRESS THEY BURRIED

ACROSS THE BRIDGE The bridge stretched across the raging sea. Black steel. Silver railings. Not a single bolt showed. It looked as though it had risen from the ocean itself. The Sanctuary waited in silence. Its towering walls reflected flashes of lightning. No windows. No insignia. Only one massive entrance. Aurora stood at the edge of the bridge. Alexander’s blood was still on her hands. She looked back. Paramedics surrounded him. Working frantically. Chest compressions.

SOLD TO THE BRUTAL ALPHA LORD OF BRIDGEVINE

SOLD TO THE BRUTAL ALPHA LORD OF BRIDGEVINE

“Breakfast will be served in my study today.” She frowned. “Why?” “Because I said so.” Her lips twitched. “There is that answer again.” This time, I allowed myself the smallest smile. “You are learning quickly.” She entered, and for the first time since I had brought her to Bridgevine, the space between us did not feel like a battlefield. I did not know what that meant, and I was not prepared to investigate it. I only knew that when she sat across from me and reached for the bread, the strange weight in my chest eased.

I'm the Immortal Business Tycoon

She asked. "You mean the Bridge of river and time?" He recalled. "Yes...it is." Then she continued... "The Bridge of river and time only challenge your temptation especially for men. That bridge was created by Gods. To them not to us. Only you, we are able to test that bridge. Fake men can't activate that trial." She said. "This..." "That is not the only thing you don't know about ge..." "You don't know at all. God is no----" She wanted to say but she stopped.

Rain's Rebellion

Rain's Rebellion

She needed to see who it was that had summoned her here; she needed to know what the other person wanted. The door was about a foot open already. It took no effort whatsoever to push it the rest of the way. The light was bright when she walked in, but not so bright that she had to squint. She was shocked that The Bridge was actually a bridge and not just some sort of slaughterhouse, or a room with bloodstains on the floor. The Mothers had gone to great lengths to ensure their fabrication was as believable as possible until the bitter end. The bridge was constructed of some sort of metallic material that glimmered in a soft silver light. Either side had a white railing that might’ve been made

Chasing Ordinary Life

Chasing Ordinary Life

The bridge was in normal state not until, 'Crrrck' The bridge cracked and the middle part fall down. A big gap appeared in the bridge, however, the cut was clean. Like some cake cut in a very neat manner. Then as if the timing was calculated perfectly, the car also split in half just when it was about centimeter away from the bridge gap, and fall down. She walk towards the edge of the gap and watch as the car explodes and fall down the water. A shame, she won't be able to confirm his death.

The Bride

The Bride

Chapter 36: Blood Ties I stood at the threshold, hesitating as the muffled voices from within reach my ears. My heart pounded with uncertainty, but the desperate need to understand what was actually happening inside propels me forward. Slowly, I press my ear against the door, attempting to decipher the words spoken by a male voice which undoubtedly my brother. Amidst the faint sobs, my mother's tearful voice resonates through the room. “Please, Kyle! Please don’t do this!”

Crossing The Bridge

Crossing The Bridge

The rules I have learned so far are as follows: o Rule One: Bridges are not allowed to use magic for self-benefit, hence why I am broke. o Rule Two: Bridges are restricted in using magic or thought to cast vengeance or harm to those they have bridged, even unintentionally. o Rule Three: Bridges must endure selected traumatic hardships to better acclimate them to various scenarios of pain, fear, hope, and despair, hence my PTSD, anxiety, and depression. o Rule 4: Bridges cannot undo, tear down, or destroy, by any means, the bridges they laid for others. This basically also plays into the no vengeance or recourse allowed rule.

The Sage Story of Longwu Continent

The Sage Story of Longwu Continent

"This place is sweltering! He murmured and strolled along the ravine's edge, searching for a way to the people's lives across this cliff's sheer face. Li Wei ultimately came upon a long rope bridge with railings on its left and right, and its floor was constructed of board pieces swinging in the wind after a long search along the edge of the rock hill. From the brink of the bridge, where it was written, "The Bronze Bridge," Li Wei peered over. "For whatever reason it may be! The river below is different like most other rivers in that it is not fed by water!" One would think they were strolling through fine white clouds because the ground was covered in a river of lava and smoke from below. T

The Pack's Dragon

The Pack's Dragon

“To kill them. Trust us. This has been one fucking fucked up week.” They turned towards Havermouth. The normal bridge crossing was lost in water, but they headed towards the old train bridge which had been built higher on the bank. Both driver and passenger focused on the road ahead of them as the driver straddled the railway lines with the wheels of the 4WD and slowly made his way across. The passenger sighed out a breath as they reached the other side. “I fucking hate that bridge.”
