The Christie Affair Novels & Stories

Grabbing the remote control, I turned on the television, then swiped the channels until I found the New Kingston Central news. "Good morning. This is New Kingston Central news. And we're bringing you news live from New Kingston on the Christian Tucker affair. Right now, our correspondent is outside his home and the entire world is waiting to hear his own side of the story. Did Christian Tucker allegedly abandon his son and his wife, Debra? Was it intentional or a mistake?" Craig laughed before he spoke. "Intentional or a mistake? No amount of love from the people can erase this scandal. One way or the other, Christian will have to pay. For all I know and I am sure of, the demographic of wome

She knew she had to speak up, and John was there to support her. "Sally, John, what brings you guys to my office? Anything urgent?" Christine asked, noticing the serious looks on their faces. "Madam, we need to talk to you about what we saw," Sally said, taking a deep breath. "What did you see?" Christine asked, her face turning pale. "Madam, we saw you getting into Welbeck's car, and then into a hotel room with him," John said, trying to be as gentle as possible. Christine's face turned red with embarrassment and anger. She could not believe that Sally and John had witnessed her affair.

said Christine, after a moment of silence. She didn't wait for Marty to speak and went on to say, I'm sorry, Cassie was... " Marty interrupted her. "I don't mind, she's my daughter." "But, aren't you afraid that your personal life will be at stake if she keeps demanding your time?" Christine was referring to his affair with Mary. Marty frowned and said, "You're assuming that Cassie will adversely affect my personal affairs." "I'm just concerned that indulging my child's capriciousness will have a negative impact on your private life and I don't wish to destroy any of your relationships." Christine said as a matter of factly.

"But that article made a huge splash the moment it was posted. Everyone in Vernon who needed to see it has seen it. Deleting it now is too late!" "If I hadn’t spent last night filming a night scene, I would’ve shown up at your place and beaten the crap out of you!" Xavier stretched lazily. "Why are you so worked up? The news just said I hugged your sister—not like I killed her!" His nonchalant tone only enraged Christan further. "I’m telling you—hugging her is worse than killing her! She’s only twenty, still a pure, innocent girl! If you’re interested, respond to her confession properly. If you’re not, then make it clear—don’t give her false hope!"

She rushed over to me and pleaded, “Nolan, please! There must be some mistake. Tell them to release my father.” I pulled my hand away, not hiding the annoyance on my face, “Enough, Christine.” “What?” She froze, looking at me with confusion in her eyes, “What do you mean?” The officer beside me presented the arrest warrant and said firmly, “Mr. Kyle Watson is suspected of orchestrating the fire at the Kingston mansion 27 years ago. And Miss Christine Watson, you are believed to be an accomplice for withholding this information. Please come with us to the station to assist in the investigation.”

It was said that after Peyton was rushed to the hospital, the baby could not be saved. Devastated, she demanded two million dollars in compensation from Christian. Meanwhile, Christian's company faced an even more severe financial crisis. Following the scandal, most of his investors withdrew their funds, forcing him to lay off a significant number of employees. Bankruptcy loomed on the horizon. What I did not expect was for Christian to seek me out less than a week after Peyton's miscarriage. I was at a restaurant near the hotel, buying baby food for Juni, when a disheveled Christian appeared in front of me. He looked like he had aged ten years.

Christian looks confused but a sick realization is setting in my brain and I pray that I'm wrong. He looks genuinely confused when he asks the question. "well you see Chrissy, her father is very famous and very rich and we had been having an affair for just over two years when I decided that I didn't just want to be his bit on the side I wanted it all, I mean clearly I deserve it. Anyway, I got to thinking and realized that if I got pregnant by him then he would leave his wife for me so that's what I did but the asshole didn't want her and ended our affair. How unfair is that?"

I said, trying to move around her. She stepped to the side, cutting me off again. "Sterling’s son blocked my number, Christie! He left before the gala was even over. My friends are sending me screenshots of the group chats. Everyone is talking about how Julian turned into a whimpering dog and how you stood there like a trophy for a barbarian. We are a laughingstock!" "That sounds like a Sterling problem, not a me problem," I said, my voice flat.

We pretended it was peace. But deep down, we both knew it wasn’t. Still, we tried to breathe, tried to live and tried to take it day by day. At work, things were as normal as they could be. Meetings. Reports. Conference calls. Fake smiles. The board didn’t know anything yet and hopefully, it would stay that way. Business needed calm, not scandal. And with Jefferson-Tech trying to maintain its partnership with Smith Corporation, the last thing we needed was a whisper about a scandalous affair.

They turned around to leave the event “And for the record I met Tristan very recently, we never had an affair when his wife was alive.” The stopped on their tracks and turned to look at me. The first speaker looked like she was thd head of their little group because they just nodded their head when she spoke. They walked out of the party but Tristan's mother was still very upset, I guess she was wondering what they all think of her son because of what they said. I raised my head and sighted Tristan standing on the stairs, he must have heard everything we said. Our eyes met and he rushed back upstairs, I guess he’s too embarrassed to come downstairs after that display from his mother’s guest.
