This was the first time this ritual was going to be done, so they were nervous about things going wrong. Slowly, each candle was lit, and it was almost time for Rem and me to add a spot of blood to the two moon-like shapes. We had to be in sync with each other, but with our mind link, that would not be too difficult for us. What made it more tricky was that Ken and Sam had to add some sort of liquid to their own spots at the same time. I wasn’t sure what that liquid was, but it smelled like dusty old books and earth. It was a strange scent but not unpleasant.

Suddenly, both of the books burst into a shower of gold, leaving nothing behind except the two spots of gold where they used to be seconds ago. A woman, standing at the center of the library looks up, revealing her ethereal appearance. Her black hair is framing her face, and her golden eyes glowing with unknown power. Suddenly, she speaks up, “Sisters we have a predicament.”

Samantha is making sure that her old pack is the first to experience her wrath. The next night, the warriors, witches, and several security technicians went to the Redwood Pack. This was the time to break through all barriers. Samantha was going to blow up their security centers first, then she was going to kill Alexi. She was the one that ruined her life because of her very existence.

In fact, I could still smell the paint, it was so fresh. Holy hell. If it was that fresh, then... Slowly, I reached out a trembling hand to touch the fall of the woman’s cloak. Then, pulling away, I turned my wrist to check my fingertips, only to find them smudged with red. “Oh my God,” I breathed, whipping my head up and glancing around. If he’d just finished, that had to mean he was still nearby, maybe even close enough for me to catch him running away. Man, if I caught a glimpse of Black Crimson, my day would be complete. Forget the need to finish my werewolf sex scene, I’d have to tell everyone I knew about this, and I’m talking about all four people!

In fact it made her even more sad. She heard one of the ladies whispering to Ryder and telling him that she would be alright and he would have his sister bacck soon. To just be patient. She was grieving just as he was, but that everyone greived in a different way. She continued to gaze at the night sky and sighed. Then she noticed it, suddenly her eyes widened. Blood on the moon!

A breathtaking place like a king's palace, a gold gate, and a vast expanse of flowers and tall trees surrounding the inner side of the estate wall. Her feet moved with awe and fear, her steps slowing as she approached the mansion's main door as if it were a monster that would swallow her. She entered the mansion with her mother—a vast, frightening space and opulence that took one's breath away. A middle-aged man with neatly combed black hair interspersed with a few gray strands stood there. It was Chris Myers, the richest man in America. He buttoned his suit jacket and extended his hand to Lila with a friendly smile.

The stench of cordite and copper ink still clung to the silk wall coverings of the grand salon, but the blood had been sanitized. Two junior enforcers had scrubbed the parquet floor with industrial bleach, leaving a pale, chemical halo where Enzo Vanni’s head had rested less than twenty minutes ago. Outside, the pre-dawn sky had bruised into a dark, suffocating purple, the storm over Lake Como slowly exhausting its kinetic fury into a thick, low-hanging fog.

CHAPTER 23: In Fours She Came Pyra’s Pov I stood in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by an endless expanse of dark, misty mountains that seemed to have no end nor beginning, stretching out as far as my eyesight could go. The air was heavy with the scent of damp earth and decaying yellow leaves, and the faint moonlit cast an eerie shadow on the ground. But what was most shocking was the color cast by the moon; instead of a silvery white color, it was a pale red, the color of Crimson that shone, casting everything its light laid in a bath of red.

I left some of the wounds bandaged as I also treated the bruises on my face. I inhaled deeply, hoping it would help ease the pain for just a few minutes. My body remained stationary in the same position for a while before the pain subsided, and I was able to stand up, returning the first aid kit. Opening the second cupboard revealed an impressive collection: emerald green, black, champagne, ruby red, and pale blue dresses, each uniquely crafted with luxurious fabrics, intricate details, and dazzling embellishments.

“Then it’s not just showing me what’s happened. It’s showing me what will.” Theo reached beside the table again and pulled out a second item from the leather folder. It was slim, bound in deep red linen, the corners worn with time. He hesitated before handing it to her. Her breath caught the moment she saw the title: The Crimson Letter By Isla Ward She stared at it, her hand hovering. “Where did you get this?” “I found it last year,” Theo said quietly. “Tucked behind the books in the library’s upper shelf. I didn’t know what it was at first. Just that it felt… wrong.”
