The Crow Eric Draven Novels & Stories

“The witch is dead, her blood is gone, my father’s lab is next, we burn it, we break the rest of his work, you get your minds back.” Murmurs. Hope. Draven steps to me, careful. “The crown,” he says. “Can you take it off.” I touch it. It burns. “I don’t know.” “Try,” he says. “For me.” I pull. Pain rips through my skull, and the crown comes away, blood on the tines. It crumbles to ash in my hand. The ferals gasp, some falling, some crying, as if a string got cut.

The light of the trap surged upward, wrapping around him like a cocoon. “No!” Eric shrieked. “You think this ends with me?” “Yes,” Draven answered coldly. “It ends exactly here.” A spike of enchanted silver drove upward through Eric’s chest from the rune circle—fast, clean, final. His body convulsed, black fire consuming itself. With one last unholy scream, Elder Eric was reduced to a pile of dust and bone. Silence. Then cheers. Aurora’s breath came heavy, her heart thudding in her ears.

“Generally, yes, but not exactly. Dragons are privy to who a potential is, which means that he wouldn’t have known. When Arric turned eighteen, he had been drafted to join the war against other Dragons. He had been gone for a few years and by the time he returned Azura had been chosen. That was when I found out.” I guess that would make sense. Remembering the scene from one of the visions I had, I wondered if things would have ended differently if Arric hadn’t been away when I had been attacked in my previous life, which led to that version of me being unable to have kids. I knew that it didn’t really make a difference, as it had happened so long ago, and I wasn’t her.

A colossal dragon throne in front. A man draped in golden robes appeared escorted by two guards clad in dazzling red armor. He had long silver hair with blue eyes. His horns on his head had a slight tint of gold to them. A humbled golden crown sat around his head resembling more a Laurel wreath than a majestic crown. The Drakon speaks.

Despite that, she still had that drive to fight but she was given no chance to grab her weapon again as Vasmir stepped on her wrist. When she tried to reach for her dagger with her other hand, Vasmir grabbed the weapon in no time and threatened her with it. He recognized the dagger with just one glance because it was something hard to forget. The exquisitely carved pair of silver and gold serpents was so vivid in his memories the first time he saw it so he was more than sure that it was of the same dagger as the one owned by the queen. Emery did not move a single muscle, not because she was afraid to die but because her body had totally shut down on her. With her shallow breathing and the ag

She gave me a reassuring thumbs-up, we had decided that she would be the goalie first, which I returned with a nervous smile. To make my nerves far worse, I hadn't even thought of the stadium itself. Sure, there were many people here already, but to make matters worse they had a giant screen on the other side of the field, that captured our reactions and made it twenty times bigger. I could see my own nervous smile played back to me before it returned to the other team. Marissa and the bull seemed to be getting along great. Brian had told us that that man, whose name was Eric, was a fierce competitor. But because we were new in the field we got the ball. And the game began.

They are strong without being cruel, powerful without being corrupt, leaders without being tyrants. They are better than me. And that knowledge is both agony and joy, shame and pride twisted together until I cannot tell where one ends and the other begins. But Aldric came at last, his form rose from the ranks of his army like a nightmare given shape and purpose. He was taller than the walls, his body cloaked in shadows that writhe with lives borrowed from the Cursemaker's power. The darkness that surrounded him was not mere absence of light but active malevolence.

“Two days ago, Alexander personally took her to a private jeweler. Measurements, design consultations—he stayed the entire time.” My heart clenched. “There’s more,” Ethan continued. “And it gets worse.” “I accessed her private cloud. Password was Alexander’s birthday.” Inside were photos. Hundreds of them. I opened the file he sent. The album was titled: My Knight. The most recent post was dated two days ago. He said this crown belongs only to me. Just like him. Next week’s family dinner—he promised to give me a name. The image showed an exquisite bridal crown— diamonds and sapphires set in a constellation pattern.

Rowan watched the world with wide silver eyes, occasionally making small sounds that drew smiles and softened expressions. By midday we gathered in the amphitheater. Draven was brought out under heavy guard, wrists bound, red eyes locking on me and Rowan immediately. The obsession there was raw, unfiltered. The crowd murmured as Kael and I stood together on the central platform, our son visible between us. Kael’s voice rolled out, dominant and clear. “Draven sought to claim what was never his. Through serum, force, and lies. Today the packs see the truth.”

“I keep waiting for you to pick me, Draven...Just once. But you never do.” Draven’s face twisted with pain. “That’s not true. The double bond is real. I feel it pulling me to you every damn second.” “But you still walk away,” I cried. “Every time.” Lila spun and fought two rivals at once, her knives piercing through each wolf. “Less talking, more moving! They’re surrounding us!” Kai pulled me toward a side corridor while fighting. “This way. My crew has an exit route.” Draven roared and shifted fully into his massive black wolf, tearing through the enemies blocking us. “She stays with me!”
