The Crow Eric Draven Novels & Stories

An earsplitting crack ripped through the air as a spiderweb of fractures exploded outward from the point of impact, rapidly spreading across the entire surface until—without warning—the whole barrier simply imploded in on itself. In that same moment, Eric was vaulting through the new opening—his eyes blazing with an intensity that made my blood run cold, all higher reasoning clearly overridden by pure animalistic violence. “Don’t you touch her!” he snarled, headed straight for Adrian. All at once, time seemed to stop. Eric’s fist, aimed directly for Adrian’s jaw, looked like a loaded gun in my face. His fangs were dropped, foam dripping from one corner of his mouth, and he looked…

Damien squeezed her shoulder and said they were going to win this and then they could finally stop running and start building something better, and Elena nodded even though she wasn’t sure she believed it yet. They entered the tunnel in single file with Elena leading because she knew the path, and the crawl through the darkness felt even longer knowing what waited at the other end. When they reached the grate Damien’s tech person worked on the lock while the rest waited in tense silence, and Elena could hear her heartbeat pounding in her ears.

The three of them stiffened, shock flashing through their eyes. After a moment, Zephyr reached out, gesturing toward the other two. "I am Zephyr… and they are Cael Ardent and Lorian Crest. We all suffered fatal injuries in the past, so each of us carries… certain defects. If you have any orders, Alpha Seraphina, you may give them directly." I nodded, not asking further. Perhaps this body was simply too heavy. After eating my fill, sleepiness crashed over me, impossible to resist.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Draven." "Don't play stupid with me," Draven chuckled, a quiet, dark sound. "I’m a well-travelled businessman, Luken. I know the ancient lore better than that bloodthirsty cousin of mine. Now... why did I hear a rumor that those specific flowers can only bloom when nourished by a Crow’s holy relic?" "Are you going to tell him?" Luken asked, his voice shaking despite his best efforts. Draven swirled the remaining liquor in his crystal glass, an amused smirk playing on his lips as he tilted his head.

On his shoulder blades, the dark veins weren’t faint traces anymore. They were thick, corded lines of obsidian bruises, writhing like a nest of vipers trapped between the bones. Every few seconds, an unnatural violet pulse would run through his flesh, illuminating the ancestral mark at the base of his neck, the royal wolf of the North, warped by five hundred years of Elyra’s cold vengeance. "Draven," I whispered, crossing the threshold. His head raised slowly. The man who could silence fifty thousand warriors with a gesture looked at me, and my breath caught in my throat.

I headed toward the washroom to collect myself. As I walked, I noticed a man standing in front of the women's washroom. He looked to be in his twenties. His face was hard, his hands clenched into fists. I knew him. I had seen him somewhere before. Draven. He belonged to one of the biggest families in the dark world and the business world. Why was he standing in front of the women's washroom? I chose to ignore it. I already had enough on my plate. Pushing the door open, I walked to the washbasin and wet my hands.

She was like a vampire, hungrily draining my blood. I did not even think twice. I booted her off me like she was nothing but a dirty old rag. She sprawled by the door, panting like she had run a marathon. Her voice raspy as she cackled at me, "Bet you didn't see this coming, huh? Only the dead set for cremation get out of the morgue, and I was lying in wait, just thirsty for your blood, you little snake!" My blood fell to the floor and soaked into Jim, who was like a ghost. His see-through form turned a deep red, his eyes glowing with a fiery rage as he fixed his gaze on the key and the factory contract in my hand.

Its howl was unlike anything the crowd had heard before—a guttural shriek that made even rogues flinch. Draven's rage twisted into something colder. Panic. "You’ve broken the ancient code," he hissed. "You broke it first. This? This is just creative enforcement." The crowd was frozen, their faces pale. Even the vampires stared in silence. I stepped back as the creature crawled to Elior, sniffing, snarling, circling. The boy struggled weakly. Draven thrashed. "Don’t you touch him! Don’t you f***ing touch him!"

war room(considering the maps on the walls and on the large table), along with the Fae Lord, Evander, Zephyros, the seven others and four faces I'd never seen before, where we waited for more than half an hour for the four High Lords and a few more people. As soon as the room was filled up and every seat at the table was filled up, I was bombarded with questions. How I knew 'the Draekein', how I could streak when no one else could, how I used my ice when there was an obvious case of Faebane, did I plan with the mortal queen, how did the Draekein get past the wards, did I weaken the wards, was I a spy from the other side, what was the next plan the mortal queen had in mind,...... Questions! M

he muttered weakly. “I understand perfectly,” Draven said, taking another step. “You wanted power. You wanted control. You thought manipulating me, her, Kaelen, and everyone else would give you that. But you underestimated one thing: loyalty, love, and courage. Those you cannot buy, cannot control, cannot destroy.” Aric’s hands tightened on Corvin, preventing any sudden moves. Corvin tried to hiss, tried to lash out, but it was useless. Draven’s aura surged around him, wolf scent practically filling the room, making it impossible to act without consequences.
