XANDER Much to Daciana’s dismay, I didn’t take her lost book theory very seriously. Though, I did go with her to check what she mentioned. Only to get her to leave me alone. Everything there was spotless and there was a dust spot right where she had plucked the book from. “What if someone put it there recently?” I asked, cocking a brow, she glared at me, clearly not happy with my response. “I’m going to find Donovan,” she grumbles, throwing the book not so gently at the reading chair in the library. “It is why he knows things more than you. This would be her second time reading this particular book, and for some reason she was excited to just get lost in this book. A world where puzzles mattered more than people’s intentions. She climbed onto the bed, propped her back against the headboard, and began to read.

Peaceful. Vespera Hale walked along the mahogany shelves, trailing her fingers over the spines of the books. Philosophy. Strategy. History. She stopped. I carried it to a nearby chair and sat down, brushing my fingers across the old paper. The contents were not easy to understand at first glance. It was filled with codes. Symbols. Puzzles that required logical reasoning to piece together. It did not read like a normal book. It felt like a record disguised as something

I will look in the archives if it's there and I'll give you a call." She said with a smile.
