I said angrily and ended the call and threw my phone on my bed as tension-filled my whole being. My phone vibrated and I picked it up. The Devil: ‘A man can dream, Evelyn. 1000 years later It was in the middle of winter, in the year of the rabbit. Terrified screams filled the night air as the sky in the human world suddenly turned red, but this didn't last a second before it returned to its original form. Before the eyes of everyone a new star appeared beside a red star called the “ devil's star ” causing a great uproar. I whisper in fear. Tsking, and biting his lip, he shakes his head. “Oh, no. Don’t think of it like that,” he says sweetly, his nefarious smile shifting to sweet and beautiful. “I’m just a fragment of dust of what you may term as the devil. In this case, Mr. Memphis, otherwise known as Devlin, and the water of power he pours to me in form of instructions, stirs my little particles into a pile of mud and I get my power from him. My blood pumps like lava, black veins wrapping up my limbs like vines and I screech as my skin sears. In the darkness, a handsome devil watches with dark blank eyes. He is unohaded by my suffering, even when I cry to him, the only bystander, to help me. I thrash about and try to pry myself free of the monster holding my wrists, when suddenly he becomes a bear. A huge, red eyed, demonic bear and he bellows in my face with yellowed razor teeth. I hear a scream thst I know is my mother's, and as I turn away in useless guilt, the

My skin felt so hot and damp, and between my legs was a wet mess, and the ache remained, refusing to fade even though I was now wide awake. Everything about that dream was so wrong, and forbidden. In our tribe, the Devil was the ultimate evil. My mother had raised me with terrifying stories about how he tempted good girls, how he ruined their souls, and how any woman who gave herself to him would bring shame and curses upon her entire family. We burned special herbs at night to keep him away. We were taught to fear even the mention of his name after sunset. If my mother ever found out I was having dreams like this, she would be heartbroken and furious.

I ask as I back away from him. In less than a second he's already in front of me and I immediately know he's a nonhuman. Question is which side is he? He smiles at me but it doesn't reach his eyes. "I'm the devil, nice to meet you." He says before quickly grabbing my head and sinking his teeth into my neck. My eyes open almost immediately. I place my hand against my chest to calm my pounding heart. It was just a dream, thank God it was just a dream.

It was time for him to meet the rumoured devil and his men. “Wait, who am I kidding?” He laughed, “It’s not as if the devil will notice me even if I’m one of the strippers dancing on the pole.” Everyone knows the devil is a player, but no one has seen him with any woman. There hadn't even been a single scandal about him. It wasn’t as if Kon had seen him in person. However, the things he has heard about the devil were more than enough. He took a deep, steady breath before he entered the room.
