Not when I did not exactly know what was going on with me. I haven't been able to sleep well because I kept on dreaming about Valentina. And whenever I saw her in my dream, I always saw blood splattered everywhere on the ground. And every single time, there was a creepy smile on her face, before she would laugh without remorse, like someone who had been possessed by an evil spirit. Whenever I had such a dream, it kept on reminding me that there was something left to be discovered. My mind kept on telling me that Valentina had got her hands stained with blood.

“There's no information on his line of business. But you might wanna listen to this.” I press the phone closer to my ear. “What? Is he a gangster?” “Not exactly. He's known as the Devil of Deals in some really elite circles. Basically, he grants wishes in the form of deals. He's very expensive from what I was able to find. But very sought after. No one knows what he looks like, no one's ever met him before.” Devil of Deals? Come to think of it, I think I've heard something like that before. I can't place where exactly.

“Yes. But I'm not important right now. I can't believe I'm standing right in front of you. My favourite of your pieces is the girl who touched the sun. I consumed that piece every day of my life for an entire year. You're such an inspiration Olivia.” “Great, what are you doing here?” She dismissed my fan girl moment, obviously more focused on my presence here. I don't know what to say. Do I tell her I fell asleep? Or just think of a lie that wouldn't implicate the devil because he would just find a way to take it out on me. “I–” “She was on a date with Lev Oleg, but she has some mental issues so I'm sure she fell asleep on the table thinking it was her room,” Mr Devil with a whole lie said,

and I didn’t hear anymore crying. I slumped into the chair next to Alkin’s, thankful for the break. Alkin panted beside me, his chest heaving. “What in God’s name were those things?” “I don’t know,” I said. “But Salem must be behind this. That man said he saw Salem in his dreams.” Alkin’s head jerked up and down in an uneven nod. “Most of the crew had been sleeping. Sotirios must have come into their dreams and . . . altered them. I guess it’s true, then. He’s a Visceral Demon now.”

I whisper in fear. Tsking, and biting his lip, he shakes his head. “Oh, no. Don’t think of it like that,” he says sweetly, his nefarious smile shifting to sweet and beautiful. “I’m just a fragment of dust of what you may term as the devil. So small and useless until I’m given instructions by my boss. In this case, Mr. Memphis, otherwise known as Devlin, and the water of power he pours to me in form of instructions, stirs my little particles into a pile of mud and I get my power from him. But for now, I’m nothing more than a human just like you and everyone else in your little world.”

The Earl shrieked in wonder, "You call her a maiden! She is no maiden. She's a thief! A mercenary, unbelievable thief!" He continued barking while he walked backwards away from them, "She handed her drink to the Earl of Vetcom, said things too daring for any normal Scottish woman and stole food. You would not call such person a mai…" He found himself staggering suddenly, noticing he was just at the edge of a ditch, one he didn't notice because he was too busy shouting. While he found himself falling into it, a hand quickly gripped around his hard and tight. Gently, that same hand pulled him up, straight back to his balance. And it was the devil herself.

"Serena" He called again wanting to be sure that this wasn't one of those dreams he woke up with screams and sweats all over his body seeing her not moving or answering his calls, seeing her with those puff eyes with tears in it he just wants to console her even if it's a dream he wouldn't want to see her in tears not now and never. He began to move wanting to stand up so he could reach out to Serena. "Fuck this hospital and it's equipment"

I took a deep breath and stepped out onto the stage. “Hello Detroit, how are you doing tonight?” I yelled as the crowd screamed. “Are you ready to have the most fun you have ever had in your life? Are you ready to let loose and give in to your innermost desires? There are no rules here and there are no laws. Anything and everything you see or do here, stays within these walls. Vegas may be Sin City but on Devil’s Night, Vegas ain’t got nothin’ on Detroit am I right?” The crowd roared with excitement.

As for my dad, I hoped that the demon inside him came out soon. Sitting on my bed on a Thursday morning, with my book in hand, I drifted off into space. I didn't go to school the last two days. Although Liam and Lily went to school, I didn't feel like it. Kelly had been helping me with her notes and even the details of what happened. She was just the best. Nevertheless, the dream I had about Ben telling me I killed him was still on my mind, not to talk of when he said his death was the beginning of others. It still scared me especially when I had no idea what he meant.
