Hours had passed and I can't sleep well, it's already twelve in the early morning. Everybody was fast asleep and here I am wide awake. Maybe I could jump and fast forward things to another time so I could save these people's lives. I slowly got up without awakening them and went to the secret door near the bathroom. I get my pocket watch and diary from the bedside table, slowly I insert the key to the keyhole and I entered the door. Jason’s POV I wake up slowly, the kind of lazy morning where sunlight filters through the curtains and the world feels momentarily soft. My arm reaches across the bed instinctively, searching for the warmth of my wife. She isn’t there. I open my eyes and find Diane sitting up against the headboard, knees drawn to her chest, completely absorbed in one of her mother’s old diaries. Her eyes are wide, flicking rapidly across the page, and there’s a flush of excitement mixed with disbelief on her face.

She got stunned when the old woman suddenly handed her a familiar notebook that she was starting to recognize. To her surprise, it was the diary she owned way back in her high school days. The diary where she chronicled all her feelings to Thyago way back in her teenage days, the diary where it all began...

I close my eyes and pinch myself hoping that will wake me from this nightmare, but it doesn't work. I turn around and meet a pair of dark eyes and... it's a girl. It's me...
