Smoke swirled inside his mouth before Draven exhaled, roaring as fire barrels out of his mouth and into the sky. The two omegas were frozen and unable to pull their eyes away from the King. It's been so long since Naham had seen a dragon King, and it's Roman's first time. Roman had no idea a dragon could be so large. He had no idea one could possess such flames as Draven did. The Dragon King was terrifying yet made him feel safe and protected. Roman sucked a breath in when he heard Draven's voice in his head when the king spoke to his people and commanded them to shift. Everyone immediately dropped their robes and shifted.

"Long ago, before the dragons vanished, there were prophecies foretelling of one who would emerge from mortal lineage—a bearer of forgotten power . This prophecy spoke of a chosen one, one who would possess the ability to communicate with the dragons and restore their presence to our world." Sable's mind whirled with this newfound revelation, her pulse quickening. "Is that why I feel this undeniable connection to the dragons? Is that why I have this insatiable urge to uncover their secrets?"

Rodrick added though his tone was far from concerned or sad. "probably because the dragons scorched their homes," Damian said rolling his eyes, "that forest was their home, when their magic went, Ignere became bitter," I turned to all of them, "We need a solution, or all of us are going to lose our thrones and everything else, as the last prophecy foretells, and "in his due age the dragon and power within him will smite the last of his enemies and with him holds the power of their permanent extinction. When the Death Dragon or DD showed itself, the world started to shake and dragons emerged from the depths of the oceans, caves, forests, volcanoes and landed from the sky. The very few Prophets who still lived tried to fight DD thanks to their kindness despite how they were hunted down for their powers. Unable to defeat DD, in a desperate move, The Prophets cursed DD with a divine armor that sealed DD inside a mountain and absorbed its vital energy.

Her heart jolted, not only from fear but from the way his gaze locked onto hers—unyielding, as if she were the only anchor he had left in this unraveling world. “I was born for this,” she whispered, voice trembling but steady. “The dragons answer to him because he wears the firebrand crown. But the prophecy doesn’t belong to him, Kaelen. It belongs to us.” Before he could reply, another roar shook the heavens. A dragon dove, its scales molten, its wings blotting out the sun. Serenya threw herself aside as its talons scraped stone, pulling half the wall with it. Kaelen rolled beside her, shielding her with his body as debris rained down.

I turn and gesture toward the shimmering seam in the distance. “They will return here,” I say. “How do you know?” “Because the girl is curious.” “And the king?” “Will follow the disturbance.” One of the younger dragons frowns. “And then?” “Then we take her.” The simplicity of the statement settles over them like frost. No elaborate speeches. No complicated strategy. Just the truth. Capture the Madrigal. Break the harmony. Control the bridge. A dragon from the other realm crosses his arms. “And the king?” I meet his gaze.

King David recited pretty much what everybody else said, more or less details. I felt Stella relax for a bit, thinking there were no surprises in this prophecy, but when King David continued. “Our prophecy said that our new king will be born from such a woman and that, finally, a dragon will fairly rule above all species.” Stella tensed, and I growled. Is he being serious about having a dragon kid with my fucking mate?
