The prophecy

All boxes are unpacked. Finally, I’ll be able to settle down. Not too soon either as I start my new job tomorrow. I’m so excited! I’ll be working for a big video game company in downtown Montréal, joining the marketing team. This is a dream come true! I’ve always enjoyed video games ever since I was a kid. Mom and dad where a little sad to see me go away but I’m only a half an hour drive from their homes so it’s not like I’m never going to see them again.   Looking around, I can’t help but feel proud to finally live on my own. At twenty-five, some of my friends already moved on their own. But I wasn’t in a hurry to move, life was good living with my parents. What a day! Finding my mate was never something that worried me. A lot of my family found their mates early on. Some of my friends were teasing me as I was getting older. I knew that one day it would come. But I didn’t expect to find her today!   I still remember waiting in that meeting for everyone to come. When I smelled her, I just knew. One word repeated in my brain: mate. My wolf knew it was her, he wanted out. When she came in the room, she looked at me. Her brown hair coming at her shoulders. She had the most beautiful hazel eyes. From the look she gave me, I knew that she felt it too.   She was human, I couldn’t smell any wolf in her. I would have to take it slow with her; I don’t know how she’ll react when she finds out what I am. Sunbeams were coming between the curtains. I woke up and realized I was curled up in Sam’s arms. I smiled at that though. I could feel his warmth breath on my neck. His unique scent was strong, and it smelled so good. I was feeling safe and peaceful. My heart was beating fast for him. I couldn’t believe how nice and affectionate he was with me. What did I do to get a guy like him? I smiled as I remembered how cute it was when he called me “babe” yesterday.   My hands started to roam his body slowly without me even thinking about it. A soft smile appeared on Sam’s lips as he opened his eyes. “Hey babe. Slept well?” I smiled back, “Your arms are the best place to sleep in.” He seemed pleased by my answer and laughed a little.   He put his hand in my hair and gently played with loose strands. I brought my mouth closer to his and kissed him, biting his lower lip. His fingers slid on my skin, making goosebumps rise wherever they w

  “That’s why we always keep a change of clean clothes with us at all times.” Added Zach with a grin on his face. “But it usually doesn’t happen that often.” He added with a wink. “I’m sure you have a lot more questions that you want to ask.” Zach continued, “And I’m sure Sam would be more than happy to answer them for you. So, I’ll leave you two alone and see you tomorrow.” He turned around without waiting for an answer, waving goodbye and leaving me alone with Sam.   As soon as Zach was gone, two strong arms encircled me. Sam was fully dressed now. “I was so scared. I thought I lost you.” He rested his head on my shoulder and gave me a kiss on the neck, letting his lips stay there a few seconds. “Took you long enough,” Zach told me with a smirk when I opened the door. “Hi Sarah,” he added looking at her. “Hey Zach,” she answered while going to get a cup of coffee.
