Finally, Damian will be a father as he said. I have already been painted black by her. She tainted me, and now I am all over Miami as that Wife who cheated on her husband, and that made the husband lose a good deal from business tycoons outside of Miami. No way! I can't be happy for them, Never. I am his wife and Melissa is just a side chick. I was wedded to him legally. I got up from the couch with my heart swollen and my shoulders dropped. I picked up my newspaper, put my legs in my slippers, and brought myself to walk gently.

It's all just a dream. I yelled angrily at Daren, "It's all just a dream! We've been apart for a long time because you cheated on me! You're cheating!" No! It's all a dream, Elyse, you're insane! Never trust him. "What are you talking about, wife?" In his expression, I could see the confusion. I shook my head and told him, gazing at him sternly, "This is just a dream." He reached up and stroked my cheeks on both sides.

Her hazel eyes, reddened from crying, looked almost green. The whites were bloodshot; her makeup had streaked down her face in dark tracks. “I don’t understand you,” I said, impatient. “I was married to Darian Freeman. To the bastard who owns this company!”

I stopped, ashamed of the fear clawing at my chest. Zane cupped my cheek gently, his touch grounding me. “It was just a dream, baby. I would never hurt you. I only want to love you. Always.” I nodded slowly, but a part of me still trembled. “But the man in the dream… he called me his wife, Zane. And… he wasn’t you. His voice was different. Darker. I could feel something wrong in him.” Zane’s eyes darkened slightly—not with anger, but with knowing.

She’s always smelled like that, but I’ve never been this close to her. Being this close to her is a blessing, and I can’t believe she’s here- not only that, she’s my wife. It feels like I’m living in one of my dreams. But that seems a bit far-fetched because in my dreams she’s in love with me, and we’re both showing love and affection toward each other. Maybe it’s possible to make that dream a reality. Look at me, sounding like a teenage boy with a crush. Sofia Santos isn’t just my crush anymore; she’s my wife.

She replied to me, and I nodded. "How is your husband?" She asked and snickered. "We are just contracted couples..." "He is the father of your baby, you know?" She reminded me, and I rolled my eyes. "That does not make him my husband..." "You signed a contract with him," She reminded me again, and I shook my head unbelievably. "Whatever!" "What about Mr. Miguel? That guy is so freaking handsome. Gosh! I think I have a crush on him. I'm definitely going to shoot my shot at him," She whined, and I rolled my eyes.

Nodding, I slowly take in the area around me, expecting to find the woman who was supposed to be my wife, but when I come up empty, I frown. “Don’t worry,” my father says, as if reading my thoughts. “Denali will be here soon.” “Denali,” I repeat. So that was the name of my wife. It was a pretty name, but it was too bad that it was attached to a woman who was filled with greed. “Wife will be just fine.” If he thought I wasn’t aware of the fact that our union was for power, he was wrong. And I was sure that the woman who went along with it was just like all the other money-hungry she-wolves.

We would’ve been complete again… but rather, I woke up to this. This stupid news that was showing on literally every channel we had on! “Popular Real Estate guru, Hudson Rodriguiez is rumored to be having a little more than a simple business partnership with Miss Hernandez, CEO of De Hernandez Dreamz! They signed a business partnership earlier this year but from the pictures… are we to expect a wedding soon? Congrats to the latest couple!” Latest couple? Hudson and Valerie, the latest couple?! That was supposed to be me! He was my man! She stole him from me! Seduced him…and now they called them the latest couple?

I couldn't tear my eyes away from the restroom for an entire hour until Mark and his companion finally emerged. The woman looked utterly drained, practically being carried by Mark, or she would have crumpled to the floor. I noticed her body shaking slightly. I frowned. Damn, no wonder those women go for him; he had the physique for it. On the weekend, I went out for dinner with some friends. As we were sipping drinks, one of my friends asked, "Jason, isn't that your wife over there?" I turned around and spotted Donna, arm-in-arm with another woman while shopping.

She couldn't shake the feeling that her life was a lie, that she was trapped in a marriage that was suffocating her. As the evening drew to a close, Julian took Rory's hand and led her out of the ballroom. "I'm so proud of you, Rory," he said, his voice low and husky. "You're always so poised and elegant. You're the perfect wife." Rory felt a surge of resentment at his words. Perfect wife? Was that all she was to him? A trophy to be displayed and admired? But she pushed the feelings aside and smiled up at Julian. "Thank you, darling," she said, her voice dripping with sweetness. "You're always so charming and handsome. You're the perfect husband."
