Blaire didn’t understand the words, but she could feel the air change.
The room hummed with energy. As Rivana opened her eyes, they were no longer green—they had shifted into a silver, lifeless glow, like moonlight reflecting on still water.
A dark aura pulsed from her as she walked toward the window. “I can see her footsteps,” Rivana said, her gaze following an invisible trail.
She paused. “ I see two trails. The trial with blood is false.”
“A decoy?” Blaire asked.
“Perhaps, but it seemed more coincidental than planned.” Rivana responded turning to face the forest. “ The other, doesn’t start from this point at all, but it leads all the way into the dense forest.”
