SEVEN The motel I was currently in wasn't located in the highbrow area of Laurel Hill. Rather, it was in a fairly remote place with a lot of abandoned buildings and an elderly population. Its quietness was one of the reasons why I chose the motel. Trast Old Factory was just a factory abandoned by a major corporation after a recession hit decades ago. I had sighted the factory in question a few times. And on each occasion, it was deserted. Its front was almost overshadowed by tall grasses. As a result, I was fairly certain that I wouldn't draw unnecessary attention to myself if I met Stuart and Tyler there.

Jeff announced. The factory? What factory? Oh, right! Gwen suddenly recalled. Jeff owned the manufacturing plant for Liniu gas stoves—a popular two-burner model known for its high-heat output that cooked meals in half the time. "I'm coming with you, Jeff!" "Where?" "To the factory." Jeff frowned sharply. "Why would you do that?" "Because I want to see our factory!" Gwen retorted. "No. Absolutely not," Jeff shot down instantly. Now it was Gwen’s turn to narrow her eyes. "Why? Does Ivy work at the factory?"

Arganta Textile Factory stood silently in the northern part of the city. The building was old and decayed, like the skeleton of a giant rotting in the darkness. The air was filled with the smell of rust and dampness. The perfect place to hide something... or someone. Inside the factory grounds, the security appeared lax. Two guards leaned against the wall, empty bottles scattered at their feet. Their eyes were half-closed, their bodies swaying from alcohol. A fatal mistake.

He gestures to the guards. “We learned the hard way that we need proper protection. The day you came here was actually right after one such incident.” If she didn’t know what really happened to Mouse and If she hadn’t had that encounter with Cane, she might actually believe him. But she knows better now. Inside the factory, Royce takes her on a comprehensive tour. The main floor is surprisingly legitimate, with actual workers at actual stations making actual shoes. “We have about two hundred employees,” Royce explains as they walk past rows of workers cutting leather and operating sewing machines.

Morris was unwilling to give up. Edmund had to die here! “Don’t worry, Master Siegfried. They aren’t going anywhere. There is only one entrance and exit in this abandoned factory,” someone who knew the terrain better explained. “The factory is surrounded by a moat filled with water, and the walls are high. They won’t be able to escape.” Morris nodded stiffly. “Go after them now. Don’t give them the time to hide, or we’ll have to waste time finding them. Leave two men outside to keep guard and don’t let people come in.”

It had previously been a pharmaceutical plant. The factory was quite large, not far from the village entrance. Most of West Ridge's residents worked there, including the Wesler’s son.

Gabe’s POV: That afternoon, Ailina invited me to the abandoned factory. After I arrived, she introduced her plan to me. “This place will be our base. I have bought this factory. I will find someone to renovate it. After our team members settle here, we begin our training.” I looked at the factory and nodded. It was big enough. She looked at me and smiled. “I leave this matter to you. Look, this is the decoration drawing I asked someone to make.”

Ivy ignored Frederick and instead brought him to the bus stop. Frederick sighed helplessly. When other people got a luxury car, they took girls for a ride. But what about him? He had a luxury car and she still didn't believe him. She insisted on taking the bus with him... Soon, the two of them took the bus and arrived at the factory site. Upon arrival, Ivy was the first to exclaim, "This factory is worth two million? There must be some mistake, right?" Looking at the factory, Frederick felt incredibly amazed. There was a large yard and three production workshops.

Hugh and Lennox waited patiently for Addison to arrive, the silence only punctuated by the occasional ringing of mobile phones, finally, they heard Addison’s car arrive and they both melted into the shadows. The journey from the city centre took over an hour and thirty minutes later, as the factory was located far from residential areas due to how big it was. After about an hour, Lucas drove through the gates of Crawford Industries. "I haven’t been here in a while," Nathan murmured, looking around.
