Terrifying in its power. “I won’t let them come for you,” he said simply, like it was a vow etched into the stars. “I’m not scared,” I whispered, pulling him close. But I was. Not Elaine. Not of the council. Of how much I felt. Because this man—this storm—was becoming my entire world. And I knew now, without a doubt. Chapter 60 Kael – Nightfall The wind howled through the trees outside like it knew something was coming. Like it was warning us.

The King wrapped a blanket around them and they waited in silence. Within the hour, General Aengus returned alone. Lorcan and Niamh met with him in the Great Hall. He was covered in cold, drying mud, his horse exhausted, and his message bleak. "They disappeared in a sudden storm," Aengus began. "Tormil raised his hand, glowing blue, and suddenly the weather became cold, with rain pounding us from above. We had to pull up, and take shelter. As soon as the storm let up, I sent my warriors to the surrounding villages and beyond. We will find the traitorous council."

As the storm drew nearer, threatening to engulf us in its fury, the looming question remained unanswered, and the shadows of doubt grew deeper. And so, as chapter 21 concluded, our pack stood on the precipice of uncertainty, poised to face the storm, both external and internal. The truth awaited us in the heart of the tempest, where betrayal and loyalty danced a treacherous dance. This will be Summer I, II, and III. After that, the monsters and the sprites encounter each other. And they begin clashing with one another. Soon it escalates, and the trees and bushes will reveal themselves as warriors. And war will break out. Everyone will fall over, and Marie (the last survivor) will collapse and die from her injuries. The war will be in Autumn. The peak of the war and Marie's end will be showcased in Winter I.

The cloud swirled and drew closer to our group. Fifi and Nalu panicked and stayed close to us and the little island of Silisk’s dead skin. We could hear the others screaming and the metahumans rushing to the other’s side to protect them. Before the storm could make contact with any of us, the triton began to absorb the storm. Byron and I fought to keep ourselves from being overwhelmed with the force that we almost sunk where we stood. And then, finally, it was over. No longer was there any storm that kept us trapped. All we saw at that moment was clear skies.
