The Fire Eternal Book Novels & Stories

Ruby read and was belwirded by each and every word, and she turned the pages, reading and processing every single word. After the Flames extinction, a prophecy was predicted that when the time is right. A Flame will rise from the ashes, A Hybrid, a flame and werewolf, born from a human bloodline. A Queen to both Witches and Werewolves. The Last Flame in existence shall rise and be reunited with her Ignis for they shall lead the wolves and the witches. Like a true King and Queen. She stopped reading and looked at the ceiling in amazement, "I am a freaking Queen?"

Since she had been stuck here for so long without any links to the outside, it was no surprise that she didn’t know what was happening now. “With each other?” the Fire Eternal asked, not masking her surprise. “No. Internal strife.” Grandpa Winks answered. Then he went on to explain what was happening now whilst introducing Morgana and James to the Fire Eternal. “There is more,” Grandpa Winks also informed her of Morgana’s prophecy. And the expression of the Fire Eternal finally turned grim. “Then we must return to the Master’s side,” the Fire Eternal called Ravi sighed. “Where is he now?” she questioned the one who seemed to have all the answers.

' Yijun asked. She thought about it. 'I have already done it,' she said. 'Everything here is what I have done with it. The Reservoir. The students. The research. All of it started with a fire and a word and a girl who decided neither of those things would be the end of the story.' He looked at her with the open expression. 'No,' he said. 'They were not the end.' 'No,' she agreed. 'They were the beginning.' ✦ ✦ ✦

Their eyes glowed with that unnatural, ancient light, and every one of them was fixed on her. Aiden moved closer, shielding her instinctively. But Evelynn couldn’t look away from the tallest of the creatures. His body seemed more stable than the others, his form holding longer in one shape. When he spoke, his voice was low, guttural, scraping along her skin like iron dragged across stone. “The fire lives,” he rasped. “At last.” Evelynn’s pulse hammered in her throat. She forced her voice not to shake. “What do you want from me?”

“I couldn’t find any other books that mention anything about the Fire God.” I slid my fingers closer, then stopped. My hand hovered over it. Maybe I should wait for the King to open it. I glanced sideways at him. He wasn’t smiling. Right now, his mouth was set, sharper than his eyes. “So,” I said, because silence was worse. “This book takes us where, exactly?” Jaxon looked at me for a long second before he shook his head and answered. “The Fire God’s territory.” My throat tightened. “Is it another planet?” I asked, pursing my lips.

Ekaterina ignores us. She chants faster, her voice rising to a fever pitch. Blood pours from her nose now, streaming from her eyes like crimson tears. The black consumes her gaze completely. I can only watch—helpless, furious, terrified—as she pours everything she has into breaking Ava's curse. Then, finally, it happens. A pillar of fire erupts from Eveline's chest, shooting skyward. The flames roar and twist, burning impossibly bright before they dissipate into nothing. The fire is gone.

Shadows flicker red beneath my door now, dancing like cruel spirits. “Run!” The word echoes in my skull. The door bursts inward in a spray of sparks and splintered wood. Flames roar behind a towering silhouette. A man steps through the fire. I cannot see his face — only the outline of him carved in burning light. And his eyes. They glow. Not with reflection. With power. The world fractures into red and gold. Heat devours everything. The scream tears from my throat— I wake choking on smoke that isn’t there. My room is dark. Quiet. Whole.

Wade's father died in the line of duty. At his funeral, Wade stood solemnly at the very front of the crowd. By the time I hurried back from out of town, there were only two spots left for the funeral procession. One was beside my husband of seven years, Wade, whom I had secretly married. The other was at the very back of the line. Naturally, I assumed the spot beside him had been left for me. But the moment I took a step forward, Wade walked right past me and nodded in the direction of my best friend standing behind me. "Helen, come here."
