From the front lines, I saw a wave of black wizard troops charging—their robes fluttering wildly, faces hidden beneath dark hoods, eyes blazing with intense hatred. The smell of sulfur, gunpowder smoke, and blood mingled in the biting cold air. "Form a defensive line!" shouted one of the commanders, raising his sharp claws toward the sky. His voice was nearly drowned out by the cannon blast.

Zayn growls as I stop him with my arm and shake my head. "A child who will fight against…a wyvern!" The audience cheered as a red color wyvern charged out once the gates opened. It has a steel collar around its neck and starts roaring, creating the crowd more excited. "Bring out the child!" I snapped my head at the other gate as it opened. Stepping out in rags was a little girl. Images of my previous life and Alice's flash in my mind. Seeing that little girl reminds us how our childhood wasn't as great as any other child's.

For a moment there, she had hoped that the scepter in Merlin’s hand was a fake. But the wraith flame slapped Talia back to reality.
