Juliette’s POV The forest lay quiet, but quiet never meant safety. The trees swayed in a gentle wind, their leaves whispering secrets that only the sharpest senses could decipher. I stepped carefully along the narrow path, the faint light of dawn filtering through the canopy, casting fractured patterns on the forest floor. Dorian and Bryan flanked me, their eyes scanning the shadows as if they could see threats that my own eyes could not. Behind us, the Warrior’s presence throbbed in my mind—a steady, unyielding pulse that anchored me, sharpened me, guided me.

The woman named Nessa turned to look at us. Suddenly I felt the lonely wind. I don't understand why the air changes so quickly. Even a thick fog hangs above, covering the sunshine entering into the forest. "How many new people will you bring into this forest? How many more humans do you want to bring into this forest, huh?" shouted Nessa yelling at Maria. I squeeze my shirt feeling scared and shaking, just hearing Nessa's voice.

“I don’t know. Maybe the forest is closed? But if they are closed, the man shouldn’t enter. Is he part of the authority? Because it looks like he is.” Renata spoke, “if he’s an authorized personnel. . . He’s an enemy then. ” She clenched her fist and gritted her teeth. Felix patted his daughter’s shoulder. “Don’t jump into conclusions, Revi. We’re not sure yet. Let’s just enter the forest and have fun for the meantime— ” They heard a loud bang not far away. That sound came from inside the forest. Shocked, the Vigliancos turned to look at the forest, wondering what and where it came from.

The sprites being the first Fae children of the world tree would sing to the roots to help the tree and forest grow. The forest was grown from magic.
