“Or it just started the war.” They reached the impact zone within minutes. What had once been a forest was now a crater of molten glass and smoking ruin. At its center lay the god. No longer vast. No longer untouchable. Just a towering, broken being of scorched gold and flesh, half-buried in a ring of fire that flickered weakly around him. The god coughed, actually coughed, and blood spilled from his mouth in glowing ribbons. Lyra stepped forward without hesitation. “You feel it now, don’t you?”

He was looking at me wide eyed. “I saw it, holy shit” he exclaimed. “Gunner” Roe hissed, “Sorry Mum” “Well, okay then” Lupus huffed, “So that’s it then, she is really the Triple Goddess?” Gunner breathed, “Yes. See, I told you” Roe smiled. I sat back in my chair and huffed. Okay, so they were easily convinced. Roe sure is excited about it, and Lupus hasn’t exactly disputed her theories. “How do we know for certain though?” I asked not looking up.

Tsarayu muttered as he picked up the Spirit beast's head and stored it in his ring. With that, Tsarayu continued on his journey until another night passed by. 'Dammit, just how big is this forest? I have been walking for over two days and still have not found them. To my knowledge, I have been traveling so fast. Yet still, I haven't caught up to them, which can only mean that they are passing through this forest pretty fast as well. But Why? Did they actually come here for the experience, or for something else that they are in such a hurry?' Tsarayu thought, long and hard, as he used his divine sense to check his surroundings.

Travis and Lamia had a connection and despite the troubles Travis had with his wolf, which was making more and more sense to me now I knew his wolf, Janus, was the god of doors and passages – the gatekeeper to other realms. Birdie tipped to the side and began to descend. Closing in on the base of a tall mountain that was topped with snow. The peak was barely visible under a haze of misty clouds. Soon enough Xander landed the flying contraption. “This is where I leave you!” Xander shouts over the whirls of the blades. He points towards two massive trees that look out of place, “Head in that direction, follow the path and you should be met by a sentry for Mount Xenia.”

Alpha Antonio laughed like he found my answer ridiculous. He was still chuckling when he turned around the book and the words became rather visible. “ It’s just English but he made it look like another language,” he explained. I don’t know who wrote this. My mind told me that it was their father but there are too many questions to prove that. Why would their father leave a journal? If he knows that there is a large chance for it to be found by us? “ It shows us the direction of the abode of the gods and goddesses. Apparently, each god and goddesses have their own abode. An own mountain to protect, to make their home and do their duty,” he furthered.

James looked at her in disbelief. Thea warned him. “Stop prying. I won’t let you off the hook so easily if you ever do it again.” After speaking, she disappeared from his sight. James touched his chin and muttered, “A Caelum Ancestral God sure is amazing. Mount Heavenly Path is the Lord of the Universe’s territory. Yet, she can come and go as she pleases.” James chuckled. He began to study the Heavenly Path out of sheer boredom. With the Heavenly Path, he could easily learn about the events happening in every corner of the universe.

--- They reached the bottom. A chamber of obsidian and ancient flame. At its center: a molten pool ringed by carved wolves in various states of pain and transcendence. Some howled. Some burned. Some were… ascending. The walls whispered. Voices from the past. From before wolves ruled. Before packs. Before gods died. > “Two halves. One flame. To wield the godfire… One must break. One must bleed. One must burn.” Racheal’s grip tightened. “What does that mean?”

He was finding the pieces, one by one, and the picture they were forming was of a man, not just a god. The next morning, they continued their journey. They had no destination now, other than ‘away’. Away from Theron, away from the memories, towards a future they couldn’t see. Kael led them, his inner compass now tuned to safety, to places where the land felt calm and whole. He avoided villages and well-travelled paths, guiding them through a wilderness that was slowly waking from winter. Buds were forming on the trees. The snow was retreating to stubborn patches in the deepest shadows.

Audrey’s frequency hummed with an ancient, bittersweet irony. "Better than that," Lucas replied, his essence feeling the "Chug-Chug-Chug" of the Soot-Walker’s engines. "They’ve discovered that the 'Journey' is more important than the 'Destination.' They’re finally 'Working' for their keep."

The god’s touch sent a violent shiver through the servant. “Call her my bride one more time and you'll die in her place dear servant” he warned. “But-” “No buts” he placed his hand on his shoulder, making him shiver in fear “I don't make promises” The next evening, the team arrived at the airport, their luggage in tow. The hum of announcements and rolling suitcases filled the air,Caleb guided them through the crowd. “France isn’t going to explore itself,” he said, a half-smile on his face.
