I closed my eyes and smiled, feeling like things are going to be okay for me. I would finally be happy.

I laid there with my eyes closed as all the memories flooded back. It was like seeing my life flash before my eyes. I did not need air anymore, but I felt the need to take a breath. It was a lot to take in. I had a life with Anthony. I was happy. I had friends. I was loved. What more could I have asked for? But I did ask for more… for a life with him. My want had made a dent in our relationship. I was barely around Anthony these past two years. All because I asked too much of him.
