Opening the door for me, Tristan ushers me into the back before joining me. Closing the door, Tristan nods to the taxi driver. "Take us as far away from this place as possible." The taxi driver starts driving and we both look past Edmund as he stands outside his house. Tristan, being the cad he is, gives him a cheesy grin and waves goodbye. "Merry Christmas, you old Grinch!" he jokes to himself. I punch Tristan gently on the arm. "Hey, watch it! You're the bigger Grinch." We look at each other. I'm still in disbelief he's here. He's partly surprised I'm in the cab with him, and not with Edmund. And just like that, we burst out laughing.

Ethan picked up the toys that were scattered on the floor. He put those toys one by one onto the treasure box. As he picked up the last toy, he stumbled upon the Christmas gift, and he placed it back again where it should be. He stood up straight, touching the Christmas tree with his hands. It's that time of the year again, and every time this holiday comes, sadness seeps in. The nostalgic feeling always comes back because this is the time where he and Chad end things.

She even made me wear long heels. It was dark inside. The flickering Christmas lights only did little to illuminate the space. It was cold too. Too cold, but nobody seemed to care. It was the live-action Grinch; it was so funny we laughed hard. I was glad my mom remembered the movies. We fixed popcorn to eat during the film; it was so good just being together. Not long after the movie Bryden peeked his head out the door of the office, “Galen can I speak to you alone please?” “Yeah, I will be right in.” He leaned in and kissed me on his way to the office.

Apart from my few friends here, people really don’t like me in this school but I’d rather be here than at my dad’s house. This year’s play was a spin on The Grinch Who Stole Christmas featuring the cast of North Hudson high’s theatre club. I guess doing the Grinch was a good change this time around. Last year’s play was all about the birth of Jesus and the three kings following the star to Bethlehem just like the year before that and the year before that as well. It’s really becoming old and pretty boring mostly because everyone already knows what’s going to happen and it’s just a matter of who’s the best cast. This time though, we are getting a fresh take on The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.
