CHAPTER EIGHT TAYLOR’S POV The palor was full, guests buzzing like flies from corner to corner. Cocking win bottles and making merry. The host, which is I, stood somewhere across from them all, like the ghost of the occasion. An overly adorned ghost. My eyes darting from entrance to entrance. I wasn't going to let Daisy and her guest take me unaware.

Not too long. But long enough. Something about the way he looked at me made my chest feel strange again. Not fear. That same feeling from earlier. The one I couldn’t explain. Then he turned slightly. “Xavier.” Xavier stepped forward immediately. “Yes.” Kai didn’t look away from me. “Who is she?” My heart skipped. Xavier followed his gaze, then answered calmly, “Your brother’s guest.” Guest. That word felt strange again. But I stayed quiet.

"Umm, hello can we ask –" "Welcome to Lilac commercial grounds our dearest guests! What can we do for you?"they said. "Umm, my name is Grey Young I was asked by Mr. Harris, my butler to come here this morning." he said. The two employee was very welcoming to their guest. They did not care as to how their guest would dress or what they would look like they just served them well just like the other fancy looking guest. "I'm sorry but we do not know who this person you are referring to. There are no such names in our guest list today." the man said.

The guests clapped and hollered. “Hola, Kayla, do something else for the guests,” a lad from the crowd demanded. Do something? Kayla was a bit confused, her smile and chuckle unsteady. “Something like what?”

explained the cashier girl with an icy tone. “What? You’re not giving face to Quron?” Cara was a little surprised. But who could this distinguished and valuable guest who had come here for lunch have been? It was Mila and Gerald. Mila had always been a sincere and low key person. She would definitely not dine in places of such posh. So, how could she possibly be Homeland Kitchen’s most distinguished and valuable guest? Wait! Could it be… Gerald?

I sighed as I went over to her. "Iris also needs a massage, why are you bothering her?" Gina scolded her. "Should I have asked you then? You won't help me anyway." Anne grumbled. "It's okay, I'm already giving you a massage, am I not?" I smiled as I massaged her shoulders and she relaxed completely with my touch. "Oh by the way, I heard the guest from this morning was that Archie Addams. I'm so upset that I worked so hard just to serve that puppet." Anne scorned and I paused. "Why did you pause, keep going." She gestured and I continued with the massage.

Avery cheered, and I grinned. I've never in my life been to a strip club, talk more of a gay strip club. I didn't know what to expect, but I felt an exciting thrill run through my body. "Welcome, Giovanna." The bouncer greeted Giovanna. "Hi, Jaden. How's it going?" "Same old, same old." "Well, let's change that. This is Avery, and Elle. They're the guests tonight." "Hello, ladies." "Hello," Avery and I said in unison.

The room falls into a reverent silence as the man strides forward, his gaze steady and purposeful. "Please, welcome… our chief guest… Kaden Preston," the host proclaims, his voice resonating through the cavernous space. A thunderous applause erupts, the sound of clapping hands reverberating off the walls of the grand auditorium. Rising from her seat with grace and poise, Alexa leads the teachers in a show of respect, their applause a symphony of appreciation for the distinguished guest who now stands before them.

"I am home, Derra, Anna." Derra, the old maid, offered her hand. "Let us clean you up. The master is waiting for you." Greta handed Derra her bag and frowned. "But Harry said father has guests." Derra nodded and passed the bag to the younger maid. "Yes. However, the guest is special. Therefore, he insists that you join him soon after you arrive." Greta looked interested. "Oh? Really? Who is it?" Derra chuckled and guided her inside. "Let's just say, he is someone that you will like to meet."
