Nothing good ever happens to me. I take some deep breaths and I put my shoes on. I opened the door and the scent hits me again. I give a couple of steps and I stop in front of her door taking in her smell. I shake my head telling myself this can’t happen and I walk downstairs towards outside. There’s a big tent in the back garden of the house and I can hear people talking. The noise is defining. The pack was sent to only had the elders unmarked. I never got to mark Emily. "Crazy but sassy sweet" I winced at her and she raised her thumb to me . "Do it like a crazy ass mom, yeah" she smiled and walked away. I sighed with a grin before getting into my office. The driver was a middle-aged man wearing a navy blue jacket; on the back seat was a young man about eighteen years old wearing a black coat, shoulder backpack, and silver hair messed up by the wind from the car window. "Uri!" The man nervously looked at the eight-lane highway in front of him. "Someone wants to arrest you; they even want to kill you. If you see them, you must run fast, don't let them catch you."

Who would have thought that the only time I had ever been called a slur, would be from the mouth of Zach Lawson? Zach seemed to realize his mistake. His tone softened, and he said, "Sydney, get on your knees and apologize to Thalia, and I'll forget this. Don't make me say this twice." I stared defiantly at him. "I won't." The next moment, Zach kicked me so hard across my shins that my knees buckled beneath me. I fell to the ground, and a searing pain shot through my knees. Years ago, Zach and I were involved in a car accident. I lunged in front of Zach to protect him, and as a result, I sustained a fracture in my left leg. The fracture healed, but left me with serious complications.

It was big money and it came easy to me. As far as heading to Penn State, it was a full ride for both of us. We got scholarships that funded everything for school, except for our partying. We worked hard and graduated at the top of our class. It just pisses me off to think that one person to destroy everything that we had worked for. I have to figure out why she would do it. The moment you get used to the cold, then you can face anything that’s coming your way,” he said with confidence, but I’m not so sure. I removed my shoes and jacket.
