Private Lessons With The Bad Boy Bully

Private Lessons With The Bad Boy Bully

"What? Nothing to say? The great Lena Hartwell, top of every class, teacher's pet, thinks she's too good to even look at me?" "That's not true," I whispered. "Then look at me." I forced my eyes to meet hers. Up close, she was even more beautiful which was ironic considering her evil nature. The flawless skin, perfect teeth, not a single hair out of place and those cold blue eyes that showed how much she was enjoying making my life hell "You know what I think?" She tilted her head, studying me like I was something stuck to the bottom of her shoe. "I think you need to learn your place. I think you need to understand that no matter how hard you study, no matter how many scholarships you get, yo

The Wife He Forgot: Ashes to Empire

The Wife He Forgot: Ashes to Empire

Publishers Weekly: "Raw and powerful. A testament to the human capacity for change." Kirkus: "Impossible to put down. The Winters have crafted a memoir that's both brutally honest and deeply hopeful." Booklist: "The most honest memoir I've read in years. A must-read for anyone struggling to break free from their past." Our publisher was ecstatic. "Pre-orders are through the roof. We're already talking second printing." "Before it's even released?" "Before it's even released. This is going to be huge." The interview requests kept coming.

Living With the Boy Who Hated Me

Living With the Boy Who Hated Me

None of us did, but I could tell he was already cultivating a deep, systemic hatred for our new reality. He had an inherent disgust for anything that resembled charity or a handout. Personally, I wasn't a fan of it either, but I possessed the pragmatic understanding that occasionally, you have to swallow your pride and accept help if you want to keep your head above water. Unfortunately, that specific brand of survival logic was entirely absent from my older brother's worldview. I could see the writing on the wall: he had already written off this entire estate, the family living inside it, and the town as a whole.

The Light In His Dark

The Light In His Dark

This is not something that should happen in a relationship and I do not support it at all. Also, I will not tolerate the hate of readers reading this book. You are more than welcome to be upset with the characters and such, but I WILL NOT tolerate the hate you have towards I as an author. I have worked hard on both my books, and yes, I know they are not the best. Again, if you get upset easily by books with sensitive subjects do not read this. And enough with the hate comments and how it's all a waste of time. If you are the type of person that likes to leave hateful comments for sport, then kindly exit the book.

I barely get many reviews on the front page of the book so a review this poor would set me back so far. You can criticise the book without rating it poorly and if it’s that bad, don’t read it. I woke up sad and I haven’t stopped thinking about it. I consider stopping the book altogether (mean critiques get to me more than they should.) I am not saying this for my book alone. It applies to others as well. I kill myself to write and brush up on my chapters. I also don’t get paid to write on GN. I do it because I am committed, and love my readers here so much.

I'm finally giving a book 5 stars. the reason is that the story is absolutely amazing! it's so captivating, and I literally fall asleep reading it because I don't want to put it down. there are several grammatical errors, but it does not take away from the book. Harvard to stanford? not good though

So far this is one of the best books I’ve read on this app, the writer is so wonderfully involved welcoming ideas and comments. Which in my opinion shows how much she appreciates her readers. The amount of descriptiveness, information and detail really helps you visualize what your reading. Thanx!!

MAKE ME HATE YOU (Book one of the hate to love duet)

MAKE ME HATE YOU (Book one of the hate to love duet)

I was not entirely successful. The lecture was fine. I retained maybe forty percent of it because the other sixty percent of my brain was occupied with frost blue eyes and a question I had been turning over since yesterday. Whether I was actually going to do it. Whether I was going to take the challenge he had dropped on me right there in my bedroom while his hand was inside me and Jaxon was at the bottom of the stairs. Make him hate me. The idea of it felt ridiculous and also, quietly, terrifying. I was walking the hallway toward my next class with my phone in my hand, checking it for the fourth time since I sat down in my last lecture, when I heard my name.

The Trillionaire Assassin.

The Trillionaire Assassin.

I'm embarrassed that he is so close to me and I realise that I have my legs intertwined with his. " You are beautiful! Far more than any other and far more than any of your kind". I could feel the despise as he said the last part of his sentence. I dont know where I got the courage but all of a sudden I wanted to know the reason why he hated my people, so I went ahead and asked him. He frowned before he said, "They are to blame for my hate towards them!" I could sense something terrible must have happened for him to possess such feelings. Please rate the book and comment.

Please put out Part 2. This was such a well written book. I loved it, and I believe many other readers loved it as well and are anticipating the next part of this book. I would truly like to know the title, and it would be great if it was also completed. Sincerely awaiting Part 2!!!

Had a quick read of the 1st few chapters. Seems very good story line and well written. But not going to start reading yet as updates seem bit slow and I hate reading 1 or 2 chapters at a time. Looking forward to this book complete so I can have a good read at my own leisure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most of the reviews I've skimmed settle on the same two points: the raw, undeniable power of the story, and the frustration with its perceived heavy-handedness. The praise focuses almost entirely on its urgency. Readers who connect with Starr's voice talk about how it made them see the world differently, or gave voice to experiences they'd only understood abstractly. They highlight the family dynamics as a particular strength—Starr's parents feel real, their love and fear are palpable. The critique, though, usually centers on the prose and characterization. Some find the dialogue, especially from Starr's white friends at school, to be a bit on the nose, serving more as a vehicle for illustrating microaggressions than sounding like actual teen banter. Others wish the novel had explored Khalil's life more deeply before the shooting, feeling his character exists primarily as a catalyst. I think a lot of that criticism misses the point that Starr's limited perspective is the whole engine of the story; we only know what she knows and sees, which includes the flattening of Khalil's life by the media narrative. It's a book that demands an emotional reaction, and the negative reviews often seem to come from a place of resisting that demand, calling it 'preachy' when others call it 'necessary.'

Frankly, I found the classroom scenes with Ms. Rosalie and the discussions about code-switching to be the most nuanced parts, a quiet brilliance that gets overshadowed by the louder, more dramatic moments.
