The Haunting Of Hill House の小説・ストーリー

Joe felt like he had barely slept when the alarm went off on his phone. Cynthia took her arm off her husband and looked at him. The two of them had a chat the previous night when they had come back to bed. Now she looked at him, the strain was evident on her husband’s face. “Did you know the extent of the hauntings?” she asked him carefully as he turned to look at her. “No. No one told me anything at all, just that there were rumors, but if we stuck together, we’ll be all right. I don’t even think they knew that the main house was an issue.” Joe replied thoughtfully.

I made sure not to mention where I was living now, at least I heard again that the house was haunted. I thanked the girl and took my groceries out to my Subaru. I bought a little more than expected. When I got back to the house, I had to make a few trips to get everything inside. As I began putting the items away in the fridge and the cabinets, I heard a knocking sound coming from above me. My hand stilled putting away the coffee cannister. My eyes rose to the ceiling above me. I waited for a few moments to see if the sound would come again. It did not.

I just wanted to be on my couch and watch my favorite show. No one was in the parlor, it was quiet when I walked in. The only sound was water pouring from the shower. I placed my bag on the island, kicked my shoes to the corner, and pulled my phone out to order some fried chicken with some beer. Fifteen minutes later there was a ring from the doorbell, delivery man was at the door, I paid and received the package. Just in time, Olivia came out of the bathroom with the scent of my lavender and rose-scented shampoo following her.

“It wanted Layla, Miss Penny’s niece. They burned the house down to try to get rid of it. Then it went after Bailey, the contractor’s girl. When she got away, I was sure she’d put an end to it, but I just can’t shake the feeling that it’s back.” The fear is plain on Helen’s face. I think about all the times I’ve felt sure that somebody was standing just behind me but turned around to find nothing. I’ve seen figures out in the swamp. Then there was that weird incident with Tanner, who wasn’t even supposed to be in the state. “I’ve heard things,” I admit after a long moment. She nods, encouraging me. “I’ve… experienced things. Things that I can’t explain.” “You’ve seen it,” Helen states. It’s

Even the furniture that blocked the door trembled, too. I covered my head and buried myself under the blanket, praying that the police would come sooner. He cursed and swore at me while he continued hacking the door down. To my horror, he had made a huge hole in the door. I realized he was holding a jackhammer in his hand! He glared at me menacingly, smiling viciously through the hole in the door. "Hey, cutie. Don't be afraid. I'll be there soon to give you love."

I steeled myself and opened the door. The hallway was awash in red. Smears and spatters of bright and dark blood covered the walls, the floor, and my door. My head reeled. What the hell happened? Why was there so much blood outside my door? Hadn't the guy in 603 seen it through his peephole? I couldn't help looking toward apartment 603. To my surprise, the door stood half-open, and it was dead quiet inside. I picked my way past the bloodstains and made my way to apartment 603.

She hesitated for a moment, wondering if she had made a mistake by coming alone. But something compelled her to step forward. Emma pushed open the creaky door and slipped inside. The air was thick with dust and the scent of decay. She fumbled in her pocket for a flashlight and turned it on, casting a weak beam of light down the dark hallway. "Hello?" she called out, her voice echoing off the walls. "Is anyone here?" A faint noise came from the room at the top of the stairs. Emma's heart racing, she climbed the creaky stairs, her footsteps echoing through the silence.

The villa began painting the walls of a new haunted house. A heavy morning after a terrifying night. Morning at that villa was unlike any other. Even with the sunrise, it couldn't erase the traces of the terror that had filled the house the previous night. Its golden rays timidly peeked through the heavy curtains, as if afraid to intrude upon a place that had witnessed unspeakable psychological horror lurking in the darkness.

Her mouth was stretched wide in a horrifying shriek. A wave of pure hatred rolled off her, so cold it burned the air. The chat stirred to life again. [Here we go! Classic jump scare!] [That's one of the manor's most vicious ghosts! It feeds on the players' fear!] [This newbie is toast! She won't even have time to react!] [I can already picture her getting torn to shreds...] But I didn't scream. I didn't run. Of course, my heart condition chose that exact moment to flare up. The pain was so bad I could barely stand.

"Elias, she’s so hungry." "She’s gone, Clara! That isn't her!" I shouted, though I wasn't sure who I was trying to convince. That was three nights ago. Since then, the haunting has turned aggressive. We tried to sleep in the living room, but the smell followed us—the cloying, sweet scent of lilies mixed with something sour and metallic. We found tiny, damp handprints on the glass of the television. They weren't made of dirt. They were gray, smudged traces of something that looked like ash and formaldehyde.
