“You will see it all,” the figure continued, stepping closer, the mist parting with unnatural grace. “The betrayals, the hidden threats, the powers that seek to claim you. The house, the forest, the bond… nothing is as it seems.”
Aria felt a chill crawl over her. “Why now?” she asked, voice barely audible, but fierce. “Why reveal this now?”
“Because you are ready,” the figure said, almost kindly, though the kindness was hollow. “Or perhaps because you have no choice.”
