CHAPTER 7: PARKING GARAGE BLACKMAIL PT 1 Raven Holt stepped out of the elevator into the nearly empty multi-level parking garage. It was late Friday evening, and most people had already gone home. The air felt cool and damp against her skin. Her sheer white blouse clung to her slim-thick figure, and since she wore no bra, her full breasts and dark nipples were clearly visible through the thin fabric. Her tight pencil skirt hugged her round ass and toned thighs as she walked. Her heels clicked loudly on the floor with every step. Her stomach twisted with dread after Mr. Grayson’s terse text.

I asked and he chuckled. "What does it seems like am doing?" He answered with a question. "You're going too far." I replied between gritted teeth. "Daisy, do you think Steve is here?" I asked through the mind reading stuff. "No I don't think so. He might have hidden him somewhere else." She answered. "Then, we have nothing to do here." I told her. "Sage, where have you hidden Steve?" I asked. "Nowhere" he answered. "Are you sure?" I asked him. "Very sure." He nodded.

I hate you that much, but I still want to save my sisters from you. She doesn’t wait for my answer and gets out of the SUV, sauntering into the house. I watch her walk away and steel myself, then I pretend to walk to my place when I’m truly heading in a different direction. “Hide this where you know they’ll discuss you,” Sage had said as he handed me two small raised discs. “Either bedroom or study. When you’ve stuck the device down, press the middle button to activate it.”

he said. Sadly, he wasn’t wrong. “Is there anything else we know about these Rhokuins then?” Alpha Hades asked. Sage slipped his hand into the pocket of his cloak and removed a tied piece of paper that he quickly undid. He spread it out to us and I felt the emotion change in the room, mine and the Alphas being more prominent, as we set our eyes on the ugliest and most alarming thing Lilith was about to set loose in the territories.

Wright's cryptic file names and the surveillance camera I had found at home. Piece by piece, it felt like something much larger—and far more unsettling—was coming together. Some secret, hidden in plain sight, was waiting to be uncovered.

I am carrying his heir and I’m sure if not now, sooner or later he’d come to figure out my whereabouts, I can hide under Henry's cocoon for too long

she muttered. Sophia had always maintained a good relationship with her editor. After all, not just anyone could be an editor for Sailendra Audrie—Sophia Raymond’s pen name. She required someone trustworthy and dedicated to their work, ensuring her true identity remained a secret. Curious about her new editor, Sophia quickly replied to the email, expressing her interest in meeting Lina Huang. As she put her phone down, it buzzed again. This time, the name ‘Albert’ lit up the screen. A wide smile spread across Sophia’s face as she answered the call.

They were all hanging out of their seats with wide eyes, dying to know why the fuck the Queen had come to our campus. “It is a secret I have kept since the war ended. It is a secret that I wish this atrium and it’s inhabitants to keep,” My mother continued. “For the safety of the person, as well as the safety of wolf-kind. I wish you all to take an oath of silence to be sealed by my mage, Finare.” She gestured to one of the men in deep crimson robes in between the royal guards. He was shorter than most the guards with skin as white as milk. I would’ve mistaken him for a vampire had he not had silver eyes so light they could be white.

The final chamber was not hidden because it was empty. It was hidden because it was the truth no one had survived cleanly enough to carry back. The foundation beneath the sanctuary peeled apart beneath my hand, and below the lattice of bones and roots I saw a vast round chamber lined in black stone veined with silver. Old water circled its edges in silent channels. At its centre stood not a throne, not an altar, but a cradle of iron and root grown together around a hollow large enough to hold a body.
