Author's POV Inside an abandoned building on the outskirts of the city, a meeting was taking place. The room was dimly lit, and several men stood in silence with their heads lowered. Fear was written on every face. At the center of the room sat a man in a black chair. A mask covered his face, and on it were the words SECRET MAN. In his hand was a gun which he casually turned as he watched the men before him. Nobody dared to look directly at him, everyone stay silent like a died person.

They are invisible because they don't belong here and the elements of this world do not affect or control them. I don't know why I hadn't thought about that before I let that issue really bug me. Because I had spelled that book. Like I had told you, it had a hidden mechanism where if and when someone touched it, it would prick them and the blood would tell the book who that person was. If it was a Vale, the book would open and let them learn the secrets of the Vale’s magic. If it wasn't, another part of the book with general magical knowledge would open.

His other hand was in the pocket of his coat. "Okay, let's go then," I mumbled to myself and put the bowl in the lock. The fret jumbled as it turned into it. Click. With a quick step to the side, out of the line of fire, I yanked the door open. Nothing happened. I waited, but no proles jumped out to pounce on us.
