Novel & Cerita The Key Trilogy

How could it be a post-breakup trauma if I wasn’t even in a relationship? Swallowing the lump in my throat, I exited the elevator and took out my apartment keys from my pocket and unlocked the door, but as soon as I stepped into my apartment, something felt off. Deciding not to take any chances, I stepped out of the door and reached my hand up to the 204 sign above my door. Not many people knew but it was my secret place to hide my spare key. I carefully unscrewed the bottom nail with my fingers and since it was a designer nail, it came out easily. There was a small pocket built into the wall to store the key, but when I opened the sign, the key was safely in the pocket.

Then Cassian froze. Then Thomas froze. Because every Crown reacted. Every single one. Authority. Truth. Resolve. Ruin. Dominion. Winter. All of them. At once. Then the Third Crown showed the truth. The Seventh Key wasn't the final prize. The Seventh Key was the final lock. God. No. Fair. Absolutely not. Reasonable honestly. Then Thomas understood. The moment someone claimed it— the seal would break. Completely. Then the thing beneath the throne would awaken. Fully.

A world not unlike their own, but filled with darkness, its sky without a barrier, its people suffering under the rule of a dark god. And in the center of the image, a single, golden key—broken. Cole looked at Lila, then at their friends, then at the image. The war for their world was over. But the war for eternity—for all worlds—had just begun. “Are we ready?” he asked, looking at Lila. She smiled, squeezing his hand. “We’ve always been ready,” she said. “Together.” They turned, walking toward the edge of the city, the key floating above them, its golden light showing the way. Behind them, their friends and the other guardians followed, ready to face whatever lay ahead.

Elijah said. He did know. That was the thing that made the key different from the first key, the contract key, the one that had come with a list of rules and a defined end date and the careful architecture of a fake relationship. That key had been a prop. This key was a key. It opened a door. That was all it did, and that was everything it did. Greg appeared with the refill. He set the bottle down, poured a small amount into Alexander's glass, raised an eyebrow at Elijah's glass. Elijah nodded. Greg poured. He disappeared again, as quietly as he had arrived.

The crystal housing shattered around the space where the Key had floated, and as it did, Elara felt something shift far beyond the walls of this chamber entirely. A warmth bloomed against her ribs, the First Key, fixed forever into the Quinn estate fireplace, answering across hundreds of miles. Beside it, a second pulse, steady and familiar, the Second Key, still resting untouched beneath the ash where she'd left it. And now, warm in her own hand, the Third. Three Keys, joined at last, though only one had ever physically left its place. Somewhere deep beneath Blackwood, a sound rolled through the facility that none of them had heard before, enormous locking mechanisms, ancient and long dorma

“What do you choose?” The Spiral convulsed. From its broken edge, great runes began to stitch across the sky, desperate to reclaim what had slipped through. Patterns curled violently, closing in. The Spiral didn’t want a question loose within its design. “If he exists,” the threadlight man warned, “you may not. You are the lock, Elthara. He is the key you threw into the fire.” His fingers trembled. “What happens when that key walks back through the door?”

Susan said, bending down to retrieve it. My gaze followed her, and that’s when I saw it. As Susan leaned forward, a delicate silver chain slipped out from behind her blouse. Hanging from it was a small, silver key. My heart skipped a beat as I recognized the symbol etched onto the key. It was a triangle with three circles inside, the same one carved into the chest in the hidden room. I could hardly believe it. That key… it had to be the one I needed to unlock the chest.

“The final key?” She nodded. “There are three blood keys hidden through ancient lineages. He’s found two. The third… I believe it lies within you. Or someone bound to you. That’s why he’s circling, waiting. He knows time is short, and if he doesn’t complete the ritual soon, the window will close for another century.” My skin crawled. I remembered the way Sara had looked at me in the hospital, the fear, the confusion, the darkness swirling behind her irises. Could he be reaching for her too?

I state. Grandpa starts yelling at Gary that this is unacceptable and that he is an asshole. Gary tells them I am not his child and he is not responsible for me. He says he has a child and is attending college, and he doesn’t want some kid he has no ties to in his house. The only reason I am here is because of Mom, and I know that. Grandma and Grandpa are pissed, and they tell me that I can come live with them. Grandpa makes a few phone calls, and soon there is a truck, and my shit is being loaded into it. I take the house key off my key ring and chuck it at Gary. I smirk when it hits him right between his beedy snake-like eyes. I walk out with Grandpa and Grandma. __FLASHBACK END_

Tiesha took off the rest of her clothing then went to have a long shower. She was relaxing under the shower when she heard someone thumping on the door. She quickly wrapped a towel around her body then went to the door. He stood at the door, seething. Tiesha concluded that if Ky'mon was a cartoon character, his head would be on fire. His eyes softened a bit but he was still angry. "Yes?", she said. "My house key". "You know i ain't gonna lie to you. Threw it under a bridge". "Why?", he asked as he came inside.
