The King Of Curses Novels & Stories

Sigrid said, dumbstruck by her finding and looked at the blue eyed man with mixed emotions. “Vane?!” Zeke frowned as the name sounded familiar to him and soon widened his eyes in shock, realising the identity of the person. “As in….” he said, staring at the zoned out Sigrid. “The last king of the Lycanor Kingdom.” She completed his words, astonished by the wake of fallen king’s portrait.

The wolf form began to retreat. The stranger stared at me in disbelief. “You’re suppressing the curse.” I knelt beside my father again. “Then tell me how to remove it.” The stranger hesitated. “The curse is tied to the Shadow King.” “Then I will break it.” “You can’t.” I looked at him. “Why?” “Because the curse was placed by someone who shared your father’s blood.” My father’s eyes widened. The stranger’s face became grim. “The curse was created by a member of the Northern royal family.”

A freak accident that left me completely alone in the world. But now, I couldn’t help but wonder. Were they werewolves too? Had they known this would happen to me? Alaric said the curse didn’t activate unless you killed someone. If they were werewolves, had they never triggered the curse? Or was it something else entirely? I glanced at the window, where the light of the setting sun was fading, giving way to the night. The full moon was coming. I could feel it—a strange hum at the back of my mind, growing stronger with each passing moment.

The king, legend had it, was cursed by a witch after he killed her mate—a dragon. The witch ensured that the cruel king would never escape his kingdom by casting a dark, smoky barrier around it. This impenetrable cloud prevented anyone from entering or leaving, except for dragons. Tragically, this curse also trapped countless innocent lives within Dravonia, leaving them to suffer the consequences of the king’s actions.

"That's... that's Alpha Kade's territory. You sure about that, miss? There was fear in his eyes and he had every right to be afraid. Alpha Kade. The most ruthless Alpha in the region, the Alpha King who was said to have been cursed by the moon goddess after murdering an entire village by himself. He was an Alpha that would murder anyone without batting an eyebrow, he has never lost a battle, Alpha Kade wasn't just dangerous or Ruthless, he was regarded as death itself. I know I was supposed to be afraid, but I had seen death once, and I wasn't afraid of it, but I was certain of one thing, he was the man capable of granting me the powers I needed to take down my family and all of them that hu

Shadows flicker red beneath my door now, dancing like cruel spirits. “Run!” The word echoes in my skull. The door bursts inward in a spray of sparks and splintered wood. Flames roar behind a towering silhouette. A man steps through the fire. I cannot see his face — only the outline of him carved in burning light. And his eyes. They glow. Not with reflection. With power. The world fractures into red and gold. Heat devours everything. The scream tears from my throat— I wake choking on smoke that isn’t there. My room is dark. Quiet. Whole.

Too— Weak. Alpha Derek of Edgeland leans forward, voice cutting. “Maybe if you focused more on finding the source of the curse rather than believing in some prophecy, you’d be able to heal your bloodlines.” The air turns volatile instantly. Gavin’s chair scrapes. “She will come,” he insists, voice shaking with restrained fury. “I don’t think you realize how much I’ve done to try to figure out what the problem is.” Alpha energy begins to press outward, thick and dangerous.

I was avoiding the harm he could cause to us, me and Kash if he got so angry with us. We were still dancing when King informed him that his time in the Kingdom ended and he should go back to his den. I puffed a breath when he finally walked away from me. I caressed my waist as if I could clean Lucifer's touch from it. I gasped and looked around, I smiled as my eyes landed on Kash. He was looking at nowhere, thinking deeply about something while he was playing with an empty champagne glass. The lights showed up on my chest and the darkness somehow faded.

It made the mark on my neck throb in a way that had nothing to do with Dante. I didn't know this man. I had heard of him like every wolf in every pack has heard of him. He's the Alpha King, ruthless. His own wolf is said to be cursed. "Why?" The word came out before I could stop it. Marshall’s eyebrow went up. "Why what, Luna Alba?" "Don't call me that. I'm no one’s Luna anymore." I straightened my spine, trying not to let my voice shake. "Why would the Alpha King care about an omega he’s never met before tonight?"

My ears picked on a word he said. “Did you just say something about a curse?” I asked, my mouth drying up. “Yes, Alpha Xavier has a curse. Why do you thing they call him the Mad King? The curse drives him crazy.” Falkor provided, his eyes bright.
