The Last Signal

The Last Signal

“Like it’s… aware.” “It’s always been aware,” Emma answered softly. “We just weren’t ready to hear it.” Lira’s voice was low, almost reverent. “Then this isn’t the end.” Emma stood, slipping the pulse device into her hand. She looked out at the horizon, where the first rays of sunlight pushed the night back one shadow at a time. “No. It’s the beginning. The Last Signal wasn’t an ending—it was a warning. A threshold. From here, what we build will decide whether this becomes our greatest ally… or our final mistake.”

THE LAST SAFE WORD

THE LAST SAFE WORD

Some promises outlive the species that made them. 3. Lyon, 2091 – The Last Paper Diary Found in 2136 beneath a fallen library shelf, wrapped in oilcloth, pages soft as skin. 14 October 2091 I am the last one, or close enough. Ninety-three, maybe ninety-four—calendars died before I did. The machines let me stay because I never asked for power, only a corner of rooftop and water for the pomegranate tree I have carried seed by seed since the Geneva bunker fell.

Last Life I Saved His Company, This Life I'm Watching It Burn

Last Life I Saved His Company, This Life I'm Watching It Burn

He claimed he knew he was wrong and was willing to spend the rest of his life making up for it. How laughable. He wanted to make up for his mistakes? With what? His worthless life, or that filthy heart of his? I sat in my office, handling the last document. Right then, a news alert popped up on my phone. "Former Lucky Charm, Nerina Larson, Dies in Mental Asylum." I switched off my phone, rose to my feet, and walked toward the window. The world outside was vast and full of wonder. I would carry my family's glory as I continued to forge ahead. No one would ever disrupt my life again.

Her Last Gift

Her Last Gift

On the third to last day before my planned death, I would face the world’s cruelty one more time. I replied with care. “Yes, Mr. Cardea.” I let out a quiet laugh at myself. People prepared for a rainy day to survive. I prepared for one to die.

Wonderful book, great character dynamic and storyline! Every emotion was tapped into! Enjoyed the Jake POV chapters at the end. On a serious not, Emma’s deep seeded issue are more common than we realize, and the issues associated with were address in way that encouraged & informed the reader!🤩💕

Amazing book! It was long but well worth it. I even wish there was more. I loved the bonus chapters but would also love an epilogue. There was a lot of character growth and maturity for both ML and FL. Looking forward to reading the other books in the series. Would love to see Daniel spin off.

Death & Life

Death & Life

I mumbled, sourly, rolling my eyes. "Give him a break, he's the one extremely excited for our wedding," Rai stated and I smiled, excited for it myself. I thought about it all and shrugged as I dialed Fernando. I explained everything I wanted him to take care of and he was happy to hear about Rai and I. After hanging up, Rai grabbed my hand and pulled me along through the remainder of the museum. As we continued our tour my thoughts became scrambled in my brain as I recalled my father telling me that Death and Life couldn't be soulmates. I gritted my teeth and looked down feeling a jolt of sadness brushing my heart. I truly loved Rai, for that I had no doubt but I had loved Miguel and it hadn

Our Last Family Dinner

Our Last Family Dinner

It never once crossed her mind what was waiting on the other side of those doors. Dad remembered how I was when I came back from the camp. At dinner, I ate mechanically, and my eyes were dark and hollow, as if I had become a different person entirely. He told himself I just needed time to readjust. He planned to send me back only after the holiday. It never once crossed his mind that by then, I had already been tortured past the point of wanting to live, that the thought of dying had already taken root. They always said it was for my own good, but they ended up destroying my life with their own hands. At the best age of my life, they drove me to end it in the most devastating way possible.

The Last Howl

The Last Howl

Atlas reached out with a numb hand and clicked the radio off. The silence that followed was absolute, terrifying, and profound. The last fragile thread of hope that had sustained us through the nightmare of the Keep snapped in an instant. No armies were coming to save us. There was no safe territory waiting over the mountains. The entire world was burning, devoured by the same grotesque horror that had taken Sia, Timmy, and Marcus. Vanya sank onto a wooden stool, burying her face in her hands as silent, hopeless tears spilled through her eyes. Kenny stared at the black radio with wide, hollow eyes, his shoulders slumping under the weight of total despair.
