“What is a witch, a werewolf with witch markings, and a hunter doing all living together in a cabin in the woods?” I had not noticed someone else come into the room. “Who is a hunter?” The voice of my Little Vixen breaks the silence in the cabin. My eyes turn to the door and meet hers immediately. I can hear her breath hitch as our eyes meet and I smirk knowing that she is still affected by the bond. “Oh,” I say without taking my eyes off of hers. “So you haven’t been told the whole truth.” “What I have been told isn’t any of your concern,” she casts a glare at everyone in the room.

she said. I narrowed my eyes “What could that be?” “The witches, they could not get to you so they are using your mate,” Hunter said. “That technique kills faster than anything. She might be dead before we get there”

Luca tried to make him understand. "What if she used her magic to break the bond just so I wouldn't feel the pain? What then huh? She loves me too much to hurt me, Luca. She was half werewolf all this time and I didn't even know that, I know nothing about her. I was so blinded by my plan that I didn't care about anything," Hunter rasped, brokenly. Luca sighed, rubbing a hand down his face before he too sat beside him. Grabbing another bottle he gulped looking away.

“I don’t know.” “The sway she has over your mind can’t be achieved by just any witch bond.” She said, “She had to have entrusted you with her name. I’m a witch too darling, you can’t lie to me.” I kept my mouth shut and Hunter who was already fuming from being forced to say please to someone pulled my hair back sharply. “She asked you a question.” I whimpered and he backhanded me, “Useless bitch- open your mouth before I kill you.”

Hunter snarled not liking the way he kicked but was capable of doing nothing due to the magical powers used upon me. “Did you really think you could again take her away under my nose that too from my own pack?” He questioned while smirking and, trailing his hand down her face. I was hating each second of the moment, and wanted to break through the magic but was helpless and was regretting to not bringing Eva along with me. Grunting and wailing, Hunter continued trying to break free and just kill him then and there. “Stop trying so hard, you cannot break through the magic of a witch.” He said taking a break and curling her hair around his finger.

Obviously they are nowhere near Pine Lake standards, but they have vastly improved in such a short space of time. Liberty left some of The Old Guard here to train a group of veteran warriors to be my own guard. At first I didn’t see the need, but Hunter insists I am oblivious to my own notoriety as a witch and seer. He is convinced I’m on the Katasan wish list. I have my own reasons for letting them get on with their schemes, when Hunter finds out he will lose his mind. Grabbing the hood off the floor, I yank it over the hunter’s face. Staring down at the bound, gagged, and now hooded figure, I get a creepy-crawly feeling all over my body.

Colt tries with all he has to hear it, but we can’t make it out. “This is my mate Hunter, would you allow him to carry you,” Lilly asks, as she reaches carefully to touch Harlow through the blanket. I hadn’t even noticed Hunter, but he’s a quiet guy. Colt practically wars with me, demanding we take her, but it's not my place. I watch as they get her, and then a Shadow witch teleports them off. My heart skips a beat once she’s gone, hating it. I just don’t know why I care so much, I’ve seen situations like this before. Though they aren’t usually pups.

Sadie said. “Don't believe anything she says, she's just a bitch, probably my father's concubine who claims to be queen,” Hunter said. “And can you explain to me, I mean I have to convince your father, but how? He knows I'm an Omega but I'm not and-" “You're an Omega, Sadie,” Hunter said. "Yeah whatever, so how should I convince him?" Sadie said.
