Novel & Cerita The Librarians Season One

Layana had reached the large open doors to the library as a few professors walked out. She slipped inside, unravelling a scroll in front of her. No one spared her a second glance, after all, everyone knew princess Cordelia often sent her staff to get her books. The librarians were too busy signing some books out for several apprentices. A few young scholars were packing away their scrolls and papers on the tables. A servant was cleaning up, wiping down the empty tables and chairs and a librarian was putting away some books.

She smoothed her skirt as best she could and left the ruined panties where they had landed among the manuscripts. They did not speak while they gathered the displaced volumes and returned them to rough order. The competitive fire was still there in the looks they exchanged, only now it carried the raw knowledge of what the silence of the stacks had allowed. Somewhere above them the night librarian turned a page. In the Restricted Section the air still smelled of old paper and sex, and both of them already knew the next debate would never be only about the text again.

It was the librarian who came up with the plan of summoning shadows to help us abduct her and take her to Alpha Benna. Before all this plan started, we had agreed with Benna that if we found Kiara and took her back to him, he would stop bothering us, and our deal with him to spy on our alphas and packs would end. The day has finally arrived, but I am not happy at all. “I just can't wait to get off his hook.“ I told the librarian who was standing in front of me. He never answered me, though, because he was lost in his thoughts. “Don't you feel bad?“ I tapped his shoulder to get his attention. He turned to face me, startled by the gentle tap on his back. His long black hair that flowed to his

“Really?” Just nodding her head, their conversation stopped after the phone rang and a female librarian who asked her to keep her voice down answered the phone. She talked to the other staffs with serious face and tone after closing the phone. It seemed she gave the staffs who were working in that evening a quick briefing. Elena observed them with a quick glance. Some librarians rushed to the door and opened it. A group men in black and dark suits were entering the room after the door was opened. Some lecturers and Mrs. Catherine, their dean were also joining those men.

The woman stood behind the podium; her old, but unworked hands, smoothing out the precious pages. “Welcome to my library,” The woman said, her eyes flashing to them. “Can I help you find something?” The librarian had a reputation about her, stories whispered on sleepless nights. Her name was Claudia, and she had been in the library for as long as anyone could remember. Claudia’s book held more than the location of library books; it was said to hold every answer imaginable. The volume was magic; so much so that it was a part of the woman’s soul, and only she could read its pages. To every other eye, it was completely and utterly blank.

The cavern was a chaos of blue light and ozone. The "Librarian" scrambled back, clutching his charred hand, his face twisting from a mask of aristocratic calm into one of frantic desperation. He had spent decades playing God with the lives of children, but he had never accounted for the one variable he couldn't control: a woman who had been underestimated for far too long. "Kill them!" the Librarian shrieked, but his voice was drowned out by the thunder of Sarah’s Vanguard team.

No one dared to move when suddenly someone spoke. “Is … everything alright here?” It was one of the librarians. And again, someone just saw them, but this time in an awkward position.

“Sybil?” He shook his head. “Council. Sybil’s cowed for now. She’s desperate, but not stupid. The suits are the ones we can’t read. Lyra’s sniffed out three traps in the sewer lines already. Most are just decoys—power outages, food shipments misrouted. But yesterday, the library annex on Jefferson burned.” She swallowed on instinct. The library was supposed to be neutral territory, a refuge for wolves, humans, even the odd daywalker. Information was currency.

Since it was still day time, I knew I couldn't go to the gardens, I didn't have my usual jobs any longer as I would be serving the queen herself and so I made my way to the one place I knew there wouldn't be anybody, not even Merilyn, the library. This time around, I needed some time alone to collect my thoughts and get myself back together. I wasn't going to be reading any books, or at least that's what I thought. When I got there, as expected, there was only the Librarian. The Lycans never really cared about the books, I wondered why they needed a library in the palace. The Librarian was an old woman, she was a werewolf as well. She was so lucky, at least she didn't have to deal with the L

Four of them shouted. “Quiet! This is a library. If you want to talk then go outside!” The librarian shouted. The five girls shut their mouths for a while then began talking again. “Hush, Miss Librarian will hear us but anyway, yes, I heard they had a confrontation two days ago and she was rejected by our future alpha!” “Oh my. That’s sad.” “Truly.”
