“Really?” Just nodding her head, their conversation stopped after the phone rang and a female librarian who asked her to keep her voice down answered the phone. She talked to the other staffs with serious face and tone after closing the phone. It seemed she gave the staffs who were working in that evening a quick briefing. Elena observed them with a quick glance. Some librarians rushed to the door and opened it. A group men in black and dark suits were entering the room after the door was opened. Some lecturers and Mrs. Catherine, their dean were also joining those men.

She got to the door quickly, the library wasn't a large one. "Found anything?" The thick, low voice of the librarian stopped her from pressing down the old, heavy doorknob. She turned and smiled at the old man, who was sitting at his table, a lantern on it and a scroll in his hand. "Sadly no, but perhaps tomorrow." Her voice was gentle and a tired smile was on her face. This Librarian was one of the few people that didn't think she was weird at all. In fact, the only people who thought her weird were the young ladies in love with her soon-to-be husband.

We both jumped, startled, to see a stern-looking librarian peering at us over a towering stack of books. “Ahem,” she cleared her throat pointedly. “No… public displays of affection are permitted in the Royal Library.” My cheeks flushed scarlet as Adrian threw me a sheepish grin. “Sorry, ma’am,” he mumbled. The librarian, however, didn’t seem entirely displeased. A hint of a smile played on her lips. “Just… keep it professional in here, alright?” she said, her voice softening slightly. With a final warning glance, she retreated back into the labyrinthine stacks of books. We both burst into laughter, the tension melting away completely.

There's practically no one here. We aren't disturbing anybody.” Ryan replied, not bothering to reduce the volume of his voice. “Doesn't matter. From the front of the library, the librarian shushed us. "You are very cheeky," he murmured. His lips were smiling but suddenly his eyes were not. The intensity of those blue eyes seared me with both heat and anger. "Eff off," I said. "Will do. Just keep watching your back." He stood to leave and I stopped him. "One thing, Tyler, you guys, BBC? should seriously consider finding a new name and a new acronym too because neither you nor any of your friends have the right tools to do it any justice."
