The Path Less Traveled

The Path Less Traveled

"He's coming, but, when I can't tell you." Dreading the next few days couldn't happen. I had to be calm. Getting the packs together was going to be hard. We were the biggest pack in America. We stayed in the HOH Rainforest of Washington State. Seattle was a little over four hours away. There was also Port Angeles and Oylimpia. Near us stood Mt. Olympus. Not the one in Greece, but the same name. Suddenly I froze. "There's no way. Is there?" Hercules said startled. "It has to be a coincidence. They were named many years apart "

Shadows of the Lost

Shadows of the Lost

said Michelle without turning, her eyes moving alternately from the map and the endless and untrodden path, the sun peering from beyond them, together with the thick clouds starting to form in the heaven. They were walking in the middle of palm trees lined in rows that were so tall it made them look like some small ants trying to walk over to the big world. To say the least, they were to climb the bunks of stone blocking the road, endure the uneven ground, and get used to the sand penetrating their shoes. “Nothing.” Karina cleared her throat, staring at Michelle’s back. Breathing heavily, she looked over her shoulder. Reigna and Cherry had their hands over at each other, catching their breat

Probably the most challenging story I have written. With about 5 drafts and two years of crafting, it’s my longest work. It’s thrilling. I revisit it sometimes and, he, even I get overwhelmed and awed. I mean, it feels like I’m not the one who wrote it.

I love the world building of this novel! Even when you’re only in chapter one you can already see how the author meticulously planned the settings of the story. It’s descriptive so even if the world is new and unfamiliar the readers could still easily imagine what it’s like.

No Longer Welcome

No Longer Welcome

My fingerprint had never been given a permanent place in Haiden Buckley's smart lock. He always registered it as temporary access. Whenever he set it up again, he gave me the same reassuring promise. "Come by whenever you want. You're always welcome here." His words sounded generous, yet the result never changed. Whenever I returned to his house, the scanner rejected me with the same message—fingerprint not registered. That day was no different. I stood outside Haiden's front door, watching the scanner flash red after rejecting my fingerprint once again. After staring at it for a moment, I pulled out my phone and called him. Haiden answered almost immediately. His apology came easi

MINE BEFORE THE BLOOD MOON

MINE BEFORE THE BLOOD MOON

And he walked through it like a man walking out of a house he’d rented too long. He didn’t take anything. He didn’t leave a note. He just went up the stairs, out into the snow, and kept walking. Not south. Not north. Just away. Because a man who had spent ten years being a voice needed to learn how to be silent. Somewhere far off he thought he heard a baby cry. And he smiled. And kept walking.

Ashes of Longing

Ashes of Longing

Her handwriting was neater than I expected. "Bentley, I was the only one who wronged your brother. Don’t hate me." That evening, I bought myself a bouquet of sunflowers. As I walked back to my apartment, the sound of an accordion drifted through the alley. This time, I didn’t quicken my pace.

The Omega Luna's Revenge

Moving was not safer than waiting. There was no safe option. There was only forward. We walked into the northeast territory. The wrong ground under our feet. The compressed channel above. The web warm and distant behind us. Eight kilometers. Whatever was at the end of it. We went to find out.

Crown of Betrayal

Crown of Betrayal

“Imagine how boring it would be if the world didn’t talk back.” Elora snorted. “You say that because the world has always talked back to you.” “And you say that,” Briar replied, grin widening, “because you’re still surprised it’s being polite.” They traveled hard but not recklessly, rising with first light and walking until the ache in their muscles demanded rest, stopping only long enough to eat, refill their waterskins, and retie straps that loosened under steady miles. The road south bent and wound through grass and stone, sometimes little more than a suggestion, sometimes an old trade path worn smooth by generations who had never imagined walking between gods. Days passed without being c

either. ### The Long Walk South Kael was the first to reach her. He didn't run; his legs were too battered for that. He dragged himself through the waist-deep powder, his fingers blue and trembling. When he finally reached her side, he didn't pull her into a cinematic embrace. He collapsed next to her, his forehead thumping against her shoulder. "Tell me... you're still... warm," he wheezed.
