" My family's insane. And without any warning a big explosion shook the whole mansion. It literally shakes the foundation of our house. We look up and loads of Snow fell from our ceiling. Not the small amount you saw in movies. No. Like an avalanche kind of Snow. Like blocks of snow. There's only one person who will do this. Only one fucking culprit. "GABRIEL!!!"

“Please—our daughter—” The figure stepped closer.Then the tree fell.bA massive branch, snapping from the weight of the storm, crashed straight into the hood, throwing the car sideways, jamming doors, trapping us inside. I screamed. Mom screamed. Dad’s voice went silent. Snow filled the cracks and corners. PRESENT The SUV slid another half-meter toward the drop. Jake slammed a hand on the dashboard. “Damn it!” The figure outside lifted something—a phone—and its screen lit up blue through the snow. Recording us. My chest closed.

The fire is warm and crackles gently as I curl up on the couch. Eamonn is fast asleep on my side, breathing deeply while a Christmas movie plays on the television. It's snowing outside, and the entire world around us is a blanket of white, sparkling ice. I can barely make out my apartment across the yard, let alone the mountains in the distance. The snow hasn't let up in three days, and the snow is building up.

"Snow?" Snow fought back her emotions and quickly answered, "I'm here." Harvey's steady voice came from the other side as if he was not the one who had said those callous things previously. "Would you like to go to a party with me?" Snow nodded frantically at the other end of the phone, so excited that words choked in her throat. Harvey seemed to have guessed her reaction by hearing the sound wave in the air on the other side; he knew Snow was nodding her head.

I get out of the car and walk up to Snow. "Hey." "Hi. You’re up." Her face lights up when she sees me. She flashes me a soft smile. "How long has it been since we arrived?" I ask her. "About twenty minutes." "Why didn't you wake me up?" "You were sleeping peacefully. I didn't want to disturb you." "Right." I say and turn to face the building. "Who's lake house is this?" Snow jumps off the hood of the car and dusts her butt. "It's my parent's house. We used to live here." She answers.

Rai: We won't be able to go help today; something has come up. Snow: Don't worry, I'll go with Bernard and my aunt, who came back. Thanks for everything. That's what I replied to Rai and I looked at Winter's message. Winter: Where are you? He's coming to your house and there's no one there. Snow: We are at Bernard's house. They're back and we're getting things organized, but we're going home, so wait for me there. I sighed and the phone rang, but not that one, but the one I used to communicate with the fight club people.
