One of the younger messengers knocked softly on the door before stepping inside, holding out a plain white envelope in both hands. “Alpha Ethan,” he said respectfully, “this was delivered from Luna— from Bella.” For a brief moment, the sound of her name made something strange flicker through my chest, but I pushed the feeling away almost immediately. “Just leave it there,” I replied casually, barely glancing at it.

Everyone had chosen. Luna opened the book. There was only one sentence on the first page. She read it twice. Then a third time. Darius noticed her expression. "What does it say?" Luna slowly looked up. "It says we were wrong about one thing." Silas stepped closer. "Which thing?" Luna turned the book so everyone could see. The sentence remained unchanged. YOU WERE NOT THE FIRST WORLD TO MAKE THIS CHOICE. Nobody spoke. Then the page turned by itself.

On reaching my apartment, I caught sight of Aysel, who was running towards the prison where Drake and Luna were kept. "Aysel you again? After trying to get me and my mate separated, you still chose to commit another evil act? "Anyway, I shall watch and see you excel in this deadly scheme of yours," I muttered. "And you forgot the Alpha could side with her in anything she is doing; someone who seduced and slept with the tremendous Alpha, what do you think she can't do?" Kyla giggled.

Malik remarked, then sighed. "Can you two shut up," Clayton and Malik both close their mouth shut once Dominic growls at his second and third commanders. I roll my eyes and return my focus to Leah. His fingers grew longer, curving into talon-like claws, longer than the powerful teeth glistening in the moonlight.
