* * * * * * ABEL EVERHART'S POV The Lurkin I picked from the gifts given to her Majesty rolls on the bed beside me, it's big eyes expressing joy from finally being free from it's chain. I laid a sheet on top of the beddings as I cannot risk having it's scent rubbed against the covers and her Majesty not liking it. I will have to take it away from her chambers once she arrives. I prepared to punch in our crucial code to activate the underground tunnel access, my fingers hovering over the keypad. Oddly, as we pulled closer, I felt a shift in the air that made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. It was as if unseen eyes were watching us. I sniffed the air, relying on my Lycan sense of smell, but detected nothing unusual. Still, the feeling of being watched persisted. We arrived at the gate, a towering structure of wrought iron that loomed ominously in the darkness. I punched in the Cult’s secret number, and the gate creaked open, revealing a hidden mechanism that caused the ground below to part, exposing an underground passageway.

“We’re gonna teach this fucker a lesson.” I lowered the LED a few inches and spotted the disgusting thing crawling up the wall. I could try several paragraphs of description, and you will think I should’ve just said it looked like Gollum and save everybody time.
