There was no response, so after waiting for a few minutes, Olivia began her ascent upstairs. This was a marriage to the Lycan King and Alpha of the Silver Crest pack, Titan Black. Lateness was inevitably going to look like a bad impression, no matter what anyone else thought. A stain on their reputation. Olivia raced upstairs as fast as she could in her usual frock and apron she wore for all her cooking and cleaning chores. Her padded feet echoed on the hard floors and she hoped Charlotte could hear her coming.

The lady who was about to pick a fight with me, the other time before we got attacked, broke the silence. “Maybe if you had kept quiet, you wouldn’t be here.” I attacked her before screaming in pain. Quickly, I moved by hand to the back of my neck, which just burned red before laughing out like a mad woman. “Well, if you must know…” I paused, teasing playfully as I watched their Alpha stare at me in anger. “The Lycan king is on his way already, and he’s getting closer,” I smiled, looking at the Alpha, who seemed to be scared.

So handsome! But then I heard the sound of broken bones, and I instinctively flinched, moving behind Liam. My head poked just above his shoulder so I could see. “Ahhh! How dare you! I’ll kill you!” My heart dropped in fear for the thug. Was he stupid? Didn’t he know the man standing in front of him was the Lycan King? The King ignored him and walked toward the blind girl. My hands clenched at my sides as he leaned toward her, holding her chin, and whispered something to her.

They were inseparable, until she found her human mate and she would not stop until they were together. The Royal Council forbade it. If there was one tradition that we could not break, it was that the royal bloodline must stay within the Lycans. They would bend the rules more for a half blood, but never ever for anything less. Alder's POV My name is Alder Volcik, and I am the Lycan King. I am 187 years old and have held the title of king for over 150 years. Lycans are widely recognized as the most powerful species. We aim to safeguard the werewolves and uphold equilibrium among all supernatural species. We remain immortal unless our heads are severed, and our hearts are simultaneously removed. We have the ability to heal faster than werewolves, both in terms of physical wounds and speed. Additionally, a regular lycan is capable of defeating an alpha.

I could not grasp what she was saying that easily. Because of all the denial in my system, I could not help but laugh. It sounded so ridiculous! How could it be true? Was the witch playing with me?
