Bob spoke too and paused. Bill took it from there. "We will go astray," Bill spoke and paused too. Raphael took it again. "At this point, we the council of elders want to present to you all your new ruler, king Lucian Marius. His wife, queen and Alpha female Alexia." The king and queen stepped forward, waving and smiling at the Lycans. The elders went to their place, behind the king and queen. The Lycans kept cheering on and on until Lucian raised his hand up, an action that meant that they can stop cheering, and they did.

"Why are they so against this? Some of them are just wolves as well, so why won't they allow me to be their Queen?" Carolina shook her head slowly. "That's the thing, Hailey. Lycans are special so they believe they are the only ones allowed to be their King and Queen. Anything else is a disgrace to the kingdom they believe in. They don't think normal wolves are strong enough to rule. It's an old ancient belief that hasn't been abolished and if you and Hunter never fix this, it might go on for another hundred years." Oh my god. This was so awful. Just then, the door was kicked down and both Carolina and I squealed in shock, but recovered when we saw that it was just Hunter.

"You cannot stay out of it even if you wanted to, oh great Lycan King. Your soul and body calls out for her." The Lycan King decided to ignore him. He turned away again, but Luca called him back. "Why do you Kings love to live in denial? You know fully well that you are attracted to her, and that's because she's your mate—" The Lycan King slams his feet on the ground in anger. The building croaked as a result. "She is not my mate!" He screamed with a broken heart. It made perfect sense that he was rejecting me as his mate. I had given him pain in the past. He didn't want to relive that.

I could tell that the Lycan King had no intention of seeing me and probably stopped Maya from seeing me. After everything was finalised and I was given the go ahead to build the school, I requested the beta to allow me to see the Lycan King. " I Know what you want Alpha Logan but I would suggest you stop insisting. The mate you despised turns out to be my king's mate and I know you understand what that means. You can never turn back time nor can you have her back because now she belongs here and will soon be the Queen of this kingdom." His words though polite cut through my already bleeding heart. I could feel everything spin around me and I had to sit down to clear my mind and find my beari

his eyebrows rose as he looked keenly into my eyes. “Hear what?” I raised my shoulders, staring back into his burning silver eyes. “The Lycan King is going to crown his Queen, tomorrow. Is the person you? Are you going to be the nation Queen?” his eyes sparkled, and the corner of his lip curved in a charming smile as he waited for my reply. I shook my head and looked away from him. “I don't know who the Queen is going to be. I didn't hear anything about the news either.” I grumbled and he puffed out air.

"She had come to my room earlier in the day, demanding to get married in an instant. I declined, of course. It is of the Lycans to wed at night when the full moon is at its peak to receive special blessings from the goddess. I explained this to her, I could not change traditions for her sake. "She was angry, threw a fit, and tried to drag me to the altar but she failed. I discarded her and she ran away from my chambers. Perhaps she must have taken the knife there and then." Darius said to himself, rather than to my parents and me as he paced all over the room. I shook my head in disbelief, finding it hard to believe the Lycan King's words. I took small steps forward before I spoke. "Light lo

“The late Lycan is dead. We’re closer now than we’ve ever been. We must remain focused on our goal.” “We are.” The woman spoke again. “First public discrediting then we’ll weaken him and finally, he can go join his father in hell.” Hunt. I almost gasped aloud as my knees lost strength. These people were planning to kill Hunter. “And the Queen won’t be a problem?” The first voice asked again. “What trouble can a spoiled princess bring?” The woman chuckled. “Not to worry. If she and the Lycan seem to grow closer… “ Her voice broke. And for a minute, my heart jolted as I strained my ears to hear the rest of their plan.

He said indifferently, a slight curiosity to his eyes. "It was not my intention to be intimate with you... I was... not in the right state of mind," I said meekly. If I had guessed correctly I am speaking to the eldest son of the Lycan King, and he is rumored to have killed his mate for being unable to bear a child. No one knows exactly what happened, but I believe he had also rejected his first mate. Dana whimpers in my head at the thought of being rejected by our mate.
