The Lycan King's Rejected Queen Novels & Stories

I obeyed without hesitation. He studied me for a long moment, his expression unreadable. Then, with a slight nod, he turned to his warriors and ordered, “Leave us.” The warriors exchanged glances but obeyed without question, filing out of the room until we were alone. The silence that followed was heavy, charged with unspoken tension. The Lycan King leaned forward, his gaze never leaving mine. “You are my mate,” he said bluntly, his words hitting me like a physical blow. “I am not going to deny that. But I want you to keep it a secret. For now. Is that clear?”

Her eyes glistened, but she did not look away. “I will not be your mistress, Lucian. If you want me, then you must accept all of me. Flaws and strengths.” The bond screamed inside me. The beast howled in protest. But I had made my choice long ago. I would not drag her into my curse. I met her gaze, forcing my voice to remain steady. “I, Lucian Blackthorn, Lycan King of the Lycan Kingdom, hereby accept your rejection.” The words hung in the air between us.

Isla's plan made sense if we could build up an army of true Moon Goddess followers Zeeb won't stand a chance. “The prophecy of the Lycan King begins.” Isla smiled.

“Until you prove your loyalty to me, that will be the time I will accept you as the queen. I do not want a weakling as my mate.” Bastard. The Lycan King should have said he would reject me. It would be faster that way. And by that time, I would have no difficulty killing him in the process if I found out he had something to do with Sabrina's disappearance. Why was I paired with the Lycan King again? “Being mates is not like that. We will accept each other without conditions. You will accept me for who I am,” I explained. “I can make my own rules. I am the Lycan king.”

It was her turn to speak out. "You are their mate? Both of them? A human? I can't believe this. What kind of fate is this? A human mated to the future king of the Lycan Kingdom, the Blood Moon Pack. You can never be our queen. The Lycans will never accept a weak, stupid human like you. You will be killed by the king before you get to be crowned queen." "What? Why will I be killed? Why? What is my offense?" I asked.

A lot of destruction has already been caused and they don't want to cause it further. Lycan King taps his shoes on the floor, waiting for his mate to step down and bring her to his house so he can finally claim her. He could have done the same thing back at his house in the afternoon, but he didn't because he wanted to take her with him in front of her parents to show her that she now has no one to look to except him and that now she has no nowhere to run.

He stepped closer instead, his eyes glowing like molten emeralds. “You and your kind deserve no mercy,” he said coldly. “You wolves have been a thorn in the flesh of every lycan. Today, that ends. You found our hideout and cost me two of my brothers. I know your name—and I know exactly what you are. And when I’m done with you, you’ll curse the day you became my mate.” His words froze the air in my lungs. “Take her away!” he commanded. Hands gripped my arms and dragged me backward, my heart hammering as I stared at him in disbelief.

"That's my son's mate and my daughter. I'm well pleased with her. She will become your queen and lead you as I do, she announces. "I, Mia Blake Jones, hereby declare Anne Hill as the queen of the Lycans. I was shocked. I looked at my mate's faces. They were shocked as well. I slowly look at the Lycan king's face. It has nothing to write home about. He looks so surprised and angry. The queen gently took my hand and led me to the front. She removes her crown and places it on my head. "From today, she shall be your queen. You must protect her from evil beings. Loved and sworn your loyalty to your queen," she declares openly.

I felt a strange feeling of need and despair, as if I needed something to calm my nerves. Tristan poured another drink, his fingers brushing mine as he offered. "So, Veronica, who is this guy that's giving you so much trouble?" I took a sip and let the alcohol burn my throat before answering. "These are the Lycan Kings, Lucas and Simon." Tristan's eyebrows furrowed. "Ah, twins. They have a good reputation. And you alone." I nodded, feeling the warmth of the drink spread through me. "Yes. I don't think I want to bring it."

"It's happened before. Multiple times. The Burning wasn't that long ago. Some of us still remember." Several council members nod. "The King's father implemented these laws for a reason," another councilor adds, a man with a scarred face and hard eyes. "To protect our people. To prevent another catastrophe." "And those laws have served us well," Aldric agrees. "Which is why we cannot make exceptions. Not even for the King's fascination." "It's not fascination," Mira says sharply. "She's his fated mate. The connection..." "Is irrelevant," Aldric cuts her off. "Plenty of Lycans have lived without their fated mates. The King himself did so for twenty years. He can do so again."
