If The Crown Fits

If The Crown Fits

Maybe I can still turn this around. “Actually, I can pretty much control it on my own. It’s pretty easy.” She says. “You came from my world, right? I applied the simple theory that magics are like molecules. If you focus enough, you can sense the magic that has the same energy as your dominant magic. You can even use magic that isn’t in your body as long as they have the same molecular property! Look!” She opened her palm out to me and manifested a block of solid ice. “This is what compressed molecules are. If I loosen them up a bit-” She paused and the block of ice in her palm became a snowball. “-this is what happens. Can you imagine what happens if I spread the molecules further?” The sno

I love this book and I'm sad to see it end. I'm a little disappointed that you didn't write a few chapters between this one and the last one to cover so many questions I now have. I still recommend this book.

Overall, very good story line. I feel some of the characters have developed more than others throughout the storyline but I really enjoy the book. It’s a fun roller coaster. Would definitely read this book again. Can’t wait for the ending. 💛

The Hybrid's Daughter- Red Moon, The Curse

The Hybrid's Daughter- Red Moon, The Curse

He examined it properly to be sure his eyes weren't playing any tricks on him, his hands shaking with excitement and disbelief. Truly, the fire didn't leave even the slightest mark of burn on the chair. After Mathias had finished satisfying his curiosity on the chair, he turned his attention to the strange book, where it lay on the floor with its pages opened. He gazed at it for some time before finally picking it up. His fingers trembled as he flipped through the pages, and then he realized he had actually done magic. He actually did MAGIC!! "How in the world is that possible?" He questioned himself, his mind reeling with disbelief and wonder. Then he remembered his grandfather always told

Unexpected Fate

Unexpected Fate

They have busy schedules. “Becca,” she called. “Hmm…” still my eyes are on the book. “Do you believe in magic?” she suddenly asked. I closed the book and put it down. “Why the sudden question?” She just shrugged. “Yes, when I was a kid, I used to believe in magic. Like fairies, witches, and such. But as I grow up, I still believe in magic. The magic of love and kindness. When you love, you feel bizarre things and do things you think you can’t. The love we give to the person who loathes us. The love we give to our enemy. The love we give when we forgive people… it’s magical isn’t it? Like how can we still love our enemy when they did nothing but to make things that is undesirable? When they t

The Dollmaker's Daughter at Christmas

The Dollmaker's Daughter at Christmas

“Do you think, once she arrives, you will be able to help her learn to read?” St. Nicholas’s eyebrows raised in curiosity for a moment before he answered. “You know, Corey, sometimes our biggest weaknesses are tied to our largest strengths. I could potentially use my magic to change Serendipity, to make her able to read, but at what cost? I could alter the very fiber of her being--turn her into someone else. And that’s not a risk I’m willing to take. No, if Serendipity learns to read, it will be through some other means, not through magic, not mine anyway.”

Mr. President Has A Baby Bump

Mr. President Has A Baby Bump

River had been right, today was a big day. I swallowed hard and forced myself to sit up straight. If everyone was going to stare at me then they were going to stare at someone who did not fold like wet paper. Even if my insides felt like soup. The professor tapped the board and golden lines appeared. “Now that everyone is finally here we can begin. This is consecutive magic. A field that demands control discipline and awareness.” Control. Discipline. Awareness. I had none of the above. He continued. “Magic here grows in stages. Builds on itself. Follows each cast that came before it. Without understanding the flow you will destroy your work or possibly yourself.”

Bikers and Bakeries

Bikers and Bakeries

“Then what is all this? A figment of my imagination?” “There is magic, and there is power. Magic is really just the science of things around you; a deeper understanding of how things intertwine and act together and apart. Kind of like baking. If you mix too much sugar into a cookie, it will flatten and not hold a shape. If there is too little, it is hard and dry as well as tasteless. You need to find the correct balance to make something enjoyable.”She kicked her foot up to cross her legs, leaning back in her chair to relax.

Awakening Prime

Awakening Prime

Oh, she was going to pay. "It will be understandable if you do not show perfect control over all the elements given that you were born in the human world and have had limited studies in the area but the elements should respond to you," the director said, his voice loud enough to be heard by all those in the room. "Magi magic is pure and calm, put aside all negative feelings and don't try to control the elements, let them come to you," he said quietly and quickly. I gave a subtle nod and stopped in front of the table, tucking my trembling hands into the pocket of my hoodie. I glanced towards the table. There was a bowl of water, soil in a flower pot, an empty jar and an unlit candle. No press

"Your magic is tied to your emotions, but it also has its own rhythm and flow. You need to learn to synchronize with it. Close your eyes again, and this time, don't try to cast a spell. Just feel the magic within you and around you. Sense its ebb and flow." I closed my eyes, focusing on the gentle hum of the forest, the pulse of energy beneath the surface of everything. I felt the magic like a current, flowing through me and the world around me. It was a living, breathing force, not something to be commanded, but to be understood and respected. Sylvia’s voice was a soothing guide. "Good. Now, imagine yourself as part of that flow. Let go of any tension, any fear. Just be." As I sank deeper i

Temptations of an Alpha

Temptations of an Alpha

In a game, a fighter and a mage, just wow. "Still depends." Mom shrugged. "Still depends on how you think critically in a fight. A witch might think she's outsmarting her enemy, only to realize, her enemy has been manipulating her the whole time. In this world, you have to be smart, smartest if you can be. A magic should be accompanied by intelligence, that's how it will become powerful."

The Alpha's Unexpected Luna

He just leans back again, resting his head against the cushion as if what he did required no more effort than breathing. A gnawing silence stretches between us as I study him. His ability has always unsettled me more than Kade’s tricks with the mind. Kade has to work his way in with focus and sometimes, words. Tristan doesn’t. He simply thinks, and the world obeys. That’s how the fire magic is supposed to work. By thought, but alas, the results have shown Lilith is right once again. Maybe it’s indeed dormant, but that night was different. I drag the book closer, forcing myself to look through the list of triggers again.
