I frowned. They wore headsets, carrying clipboards, moving fast like a school of fish that always knew where to turn. A cluster of security surrounded someone in the centre, someone petite, wrapped in a long black coat that reminded me of the matrix. What was going on? Was this one of performers for today? Wasn’t this overkill? One of the security guards stepped directly into my path stopping me from going further. “Careful.” the guard barked. “She needs a clear passage.”

But no one really knew what happened. Even when he gets asked by people about the reason for the mask he still refuses to disclose anything about it and instead choose to live like that. But there's was a particular someone though who always puts a smile on Damien's face and gives him joy each time he thinks of her.

We talked and laughed, sharing stories and getting to know each other better. Just as we were in the middle of our conversation, the door creaked open, and a tall, dark-skinned man walked in. My head instinctively turned to greet him. Just as I raised my face to greet him, I felt a jolt of recognition run through me. It was the same guy from the masked party! I couldn't believe it; I had unmasked him in the washroom while we were kissing. I didn't know I'd remember his face ever again.

She also informed her that she had an upcoming event that was organized by Klar, and it was a mask party, but she was skeptical of what to wear. Emily knew the event because she had also invited Leonard, and instantly she remembered she wanted to get Leonard a gift. She took note to go shopping after work so she wouldn't forget about it. He sighed and brushed his hand in his hair the other hand resting in his pocket and he stopped smiling and said in a deep voice, “Seeing you now is risking my life, you know my first name and for the first time I am not afraid to take such a step.” He turned to me and this time he looked straight in my eyes and he continues, “I will try and come back here to see you. But if I can’t and you can recognize me without my mask when we meet once again, then I won’t hesitate to be yours forever. This I promise.”

Ruby's gaze was glued to the screen, her body shaking as if she had seen a ghost. "You don't have to sign," I said, my voice a chilling whisper. "But if you don't, this unedited, crystal-clear video will be tomorrow's sensation, plastered over every news site. I'll even send a copy to your parents, all your relatives, friends, and colleagues. "Think you'll see a dime of that settlement then? Think you'll have the dignity to walk this earth?"

I murmured, “let’s do this, shall we?” He picked up a baseball cap from God knows where, then gently brushed my hair back as he pulled the brim lower, making sure it shielded as much of my face as possible. His thumb lightly grazed the line of my jaw. “Let’s get you a mask too.” I shook my head. “No need.” He let out a sharp breath like he hated every part of this situation. “I won’t let anyone touch you, princess.” Princess…? God. “I trust you,” I whispered.

Everyone wanted to know the guy with no expression on his lower face and a black mask covering his upper face who could dance too well to be a mafian. Curiosity.
