 Bound To The Fearful Alpha

Bound To The Fearful Alpha

Bring her back. She turned. Diva's heart shattered—relief, anger, grief colliding. She wailed aloud. "Derek, no." He hesitated, doubt in his eyes. Eamon pushed back his hood, and the Keeper's face was revealed—another, one they did not know. The genuine Keeper smiled. "I keep the relic safe from those who would abuse it. Light and dark alike." Derek stepped forward, the sword falling from his grasp with a clatter. "Keep back from her."

My Sweetest Revenge: Sleeping with the Alpha King

My Sweetest Revenge: Sleeping with the Alpha King

"She needs to control it. The bracelet is gone. She nearly killed a man today." "Nearly?" The Keeper chuckled. "She did exactly what she was born to do. She protected the blood." The old woman stood up, leaning on her gnarled staff, and gestured for Nyx to come closer. Nyx looked at Killian. He nodded slowly, releasing her hand. My daughter walked into the darkness toward the Keeper. As she did, the shadows in the room didn't just move—they bowed. They flattened themselves against the floor, creating a path of pure obsidian for her to walk on.

The Daughter He Let Die

The Daughter He Let Die

This wasn't the woman who had once been a brilliant researcher on the verge of a medical breakthrough. With hands that still shook, I removed the red silk gown, letting it pool at my feet like a pool of blood. I stepped out of it and kicked it aside, watching as it settled into a heap on the bathroom floor. Tomorrow, I will burn it. But tonight, I had to focus on what was important, on the daughter who needed me to be strong, even when I felt like I was shattering into a million pieces.

Daughter of the Moon

Daughter of the Moon

When Xander arrived, he stood up and turned toward us, then froze. Drake: You look so much like your mother. He wanted to rush toward me, but I dodged a step back, which made him stop. Xander gently squeezed my hand and said, Alexander: Your daughter went through absolute hell wherever she was. She has no memory of you yet, and, for goodness' sake, I'm the only one who can easily touch her right now. You have to take it slow and let her come to you.

No Saving the Woman Who Killed My Daughter

No Saving the Woman Who Killed My Daughter

Eight years ago, my daughter, Joey Porter, was stuck in the desert of death. Her GPS had blinked out, and she ran out of supplies. She kept calling for me for over a dozen hours over the walkie-talkie. The only rescue team was an hour's flight away from her, only to get intercepted halfway there. Later on, I found out that my wife, Ruby Shaw, spent 800 thousand dollars bribing the dispatch center, rerouting the rescue team's flight route just so they could save Ruby's younger brother, Howard Shaw, instead. Howard had had too much to drink at that time, causing him to lose his way outside the resort that was located at the edge of the desert. When he was found, it turned out that he was a

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

Then the Keeper spoke. For the first time— not as a guide. Not as a watcher. But as something much older. Much more powerful. His voice carried authority. Absolute authority. Then: "Enough." The word shook reality. The abyss froze. The heartbeat stopped. Even the creature became still. Then the Keeper looked toward Thomas. His expression unreadable. Then: "You need the final memory." Silence. Then Thomas whispered: "What final memory?" The Keeper's gaze hardened. Then: "The one they erased."

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

Bloodbound: The legacy of Serelai

Bloodbound: The legacy of Serelai

Ronan asked, his voice respectful but firm. The old man didn’t look at him. His voice, when it came, was a dry rustle, like leaves scraping over stone. “I have come to see the Keeper. And the Voice. I am the last of my kind. I am the Memory Keeper.” A ripple of confusion went through the crowd. They had Rememberers. They had Kael’s Archives. What was a Memory Keeper? Liora, who had been tending a small herb garden with Elara, stood and wiped her hands on her apron. She felt the man’s presence like a deep, still pool in the lively river of the settlement. She walked towards him.

Defending My Daughter

Defending My Daughter

My daughter's question made my heart tighten. Before I could respond, there was a loud bang at the door. When I opened it, I saw Ms. Watson and Director Lee from the math Olympiad program. Director Lee was holding a cardboard box with a smile on her face that did not reach her eyes. Meanwhile, Ms. Watson leaned against the doorframe, contemptuously looking us up and down. "Ms. Sanders, I'm here to deliver your daughter's stuff." Director Lee forcefully shoved the box into my arms, causing me to stumble back. The books inside the box spilled out.

THE VILLAINESS REMEMBERED ME:In Every Timeline, She Chose De

"The watcher is the Archivist's memory now." Morwen was quiet for a long moment. Then she set down the scroll and took Clara's hands. "You are becoming the Archivist's successor," Morwen said. "Not in the restricted archives—in the garden. In the watcher's attention. You are the keeper now." Clara shook her head. "I am not the keeper. I am just—here." "That is what a keeper is. Someone who stays." --- Seren's record of the candidates had grown into a book.
