I still wonder where I went wrong. There is a miracle that keeps me on my toes. The miracle comes in form of Success, my little bundle of joy. She makes it all easy, and I crave to bring her into her own, where she will have peace, love and tranquillity. And, no matter what life brings her way, may she know the true north! I shall always be there for her at every step of the way.

- I told him. He nodded and pulled several books out from one of the stacks and set them in front of me. I opened the top book and ran my fingers over the runes in the title. It was beautifully written as if each word was drawn with love and attention to detail. Now that I looked at it, it reminded me of a combination of Norse and Old English. Nerrian pulled his chair closer and pointed to the first word, speaking it in my mind than out loud in Draygonian. With his help, I repeated the word over and over again until I perfected it.

Mira asked seriously. " I do. Don't you?" " I don't. I have prayed countless times for a miracle, but nothing happens." Mira replied. If it was two days ago, maybe she could agree with the old lady about miracles. To her, the second chance granted to her was like a miracle. That was until she learnt it wasn't. It was a way of atoning to get sins. The sins of trusting the wrong people. " Never loose your faith young Lady. We pray and even when our prayers are not answered, it's fulfill knowing that you turned to the Almighty one when you needed help." The old lady said.

It was hand written. She went on, flipping the book and stopping to read through some parts of it. It was a book about spells and she found herself laughing at the silliness of the thought that magic was still in existence. Some of the spells in the book made Matilda to shake her head and conclude that the book had been written during the time that witches existed. Some of the recipes in the book had ingredients like a two day old crow's blood, the crushed bark of a cider tree, four leaved clovers, mint leaves that had bloomed in the summer and many other bizarre ingredients.

"Open it," Sandra with excitement as she stared at Anna, who was staring at the book with attention. "What if it's dangerous?" Anna asked, her gaze fixed on the cover. "Why then did you search for it, knowing it might be dangerous? You are already at this point, Anna, why would you go back?" Mirielle said and snatched the book from her, opening it.
