I ignored him, got up and went to find the librarian. “What does it say?” I asked pointing to a page. I didn't know why but something on that page called out to me. The librarian looked at the page. Then at me. For a second, he didn’t speak. “Moon-marked wolf.” My fingers tightened around the book. “what?” “It’s a type of wolf,” he continued calmly. “the rare and powerful kind.”

“I mean, we know rogues can get that big, but it’s not something we usually see, especially this far south from Arcterra.” “What do you mean?” she asked. “Rogues are… They’re people who have been cut off from the moon goddess, normally criminals. Doing that cuts them off from her magic, the stuff our wolves need to live,” he explained. “It has… Some really bad effects.” Peggy nodded, but her stomach churned. “Oh… Yeah, you said there were people at the camp…” she said, finally letting that sink in. “I… I didn’t think they could become something like that, though.”

"The old history book in my packhouse... I saw something... something similar to this... The Aurion Frenzy." He growled again. "Too much talking," his voice raised. That is when my brain remembers the wet wolves outside, so I skip over to the edge of the steaming water and pretend to be super surprised. "Oh goodness, did my small brain forget all about your bodies? I am so sorry!" The wolves stuck in the water were praying to the moon for someone to save them, and they almost started crying tears of joy until my mouth said those words. Their happy feelings turn right back into big red fury.

Then they started walking back to where they had gone before. “Isn't it just a normal wolf?” Lawrence inquired as he tailed William once more. William came to a halt and turned to face his friend, saying, “A wolf? Yes... but no! I've seen one. The wolf isn't like that. Their eyes don't glow like that of an animal.” He then resumed his walk. Lawrence responded, “Glow like what? I'd never seen anything like that earlier.” “Seriously, bro? Its eyes were glowing like a golden treasure, how can you not notice that?” William said, unconvinced.
