“That’s not how the bond works. If you try to run, it’ll pull harder. You’ll get sick.” He looked at her with a flicker of fear. Not of her—of what they were now part of. “Then what do we do?” he asked. She didn’t answer because she didn’t know. The Council torches were burning low. Most of the Summit had returned to their tents or shifted to run under the moonlight. But the three of them stood there, the fire casting long shadows over uncertain ground. Mira looked between them. I hiss. Apparently, you can't trust the word of someone you met in an underground werewolf bar. The entrance to Dyad Marketplace should be here, right past the— Something glimmers in the bricks on the other side of the fountain. Something bright and shiny. Striding across the courtyard, I approach the bit of metal stuck in the wall. A grin breaks across my face. "Perfect." Placing my fingers on the thin strip of metal—something that would appear completely innocuous and meaningless to any basic person walking by—I speak the incantation. "Aperta obidier."

After a brief pause, I still refused outright. "They don't deserve it." The bloody path I fought through in my last life was something Mona should walk herself this time. Jonah smiled faintly. "You and your sister really are different." With that, he went upstairs. Watching his back, a dead memory stirred. In the flames, I seemed to see that same figure running toward me. Or was that just a hallucination before death? Early the next morning, I received a notification that a large sum of money had been transferred out of my bank account.

This pack is good, its people merciful and kind. I still have worries about 300 though because of what happened between her and the alpha before I met her. I was sure she doesn’t have an evil bone in her. So for whatever reason she tried to kill alpha Alec, she must have had a good reason for it. But does that make alpha Alec good or bad? Of that I wasn’t sure.

That was precisely why this third book was told from all four main lead perspectives. Many people have shared with me that they have enjoyed seeing all of the various species being mentioned and integrated. I am happy to report that we will get to see what the product of that is in the future. Our people have been working their asses off to bring peace to the Supernatural world, and we will get to see what all that looks like in the coming stories. It all started with Elle and Kade, but it did not end there. In the coming book, Angel and the twins will have their own demons to overcome. Can they do that before they lose everything?

Reading it felt like trespassing, like breaking into a sacred space I had no right to enter. But I was desperate. I opened to the first page. January 15th. Three years ago today, I met Blake at the winter solstice dance. He walked across the room like he owned it, and my wolf knew before I did.. He's my mate. I've never believed in fairy tales before, but maybe I was wrong. Maybe this is what fate feels like. I blinked hard and kept reading. March 3rd. I miss my sister.
