The Night Circus Movie Novels & Stories

"Drink water and sleep. It's not good to eat in the middle of night. It's bad for your health too." "I shouldn't have answered your call. Goodnight." "Wait!" "What?" "I got tickets for a movie. Are you interested?" "Now?" He laughed and said, "Weekend." "Okay. Let's go. Goodnight then."

Afterwards, they continued on through the festival, finding various dance and singing performances that caught their attention. The music that accompanied the dances was so captivating that it swept Olivia and Ivy away to a fantasy world. Together, they enjoyed the melodious voices of the singers, who sang songs full of hope, signaling a new beginning. The New Year's carnival festival was so lively that many rides were offered, including a bird's nest-shaped Ferris wheel that caught Olivia's attention. "Ivy, let's go up there," Olivia invited. "Ah, I don't like it. I like to get dizzy and drunk. Brother, let me buy drinks for both of us," Ivy said.

“It’s been following me my whole life. I’m already connected.” Devon hesitated. “If she’s right… we need to do this fast. The forest is waking.” All around them, the air grew heavier. The vines in the ceiling coiled. From the far hallway, the Orderlies stirred — figures in old hospital whites, their faces a mass of thorns and stitched mouths, moving in twitching, unnatural bursts. Lucas positioned the camera on the altar’s edge. “We need to document this. If someone finds it—” “They won’t,” Marla said flatly. “Not unless the forest allows it.”

After a while, Leslie stretched and yawned, feeling the weight of sleep. "Hey, I'm tired. Let’s go back, it’s really late," Leslie suggested. "You go ahead," Scarlett replied firmly. "I’ll head back later. I just want to stay a bit longer." Leslie looked at her with a mix of worry and resignation, but finally nodded and began walking back to camp. Scarlett was left alone by the lake, unaware that she was being watched from the other side of the water. Across the lake, Zafira and her sister Zahia—two gorgons, women with serpent tails instead of legs—hid in the shadows. Zafira, her serpentine body coiling around itself, watched Scarlett with a mix of surprise and overflowing rage.

Zenios drove Charlotte to the mall parking lot. Fortunately, Charlotte’s car was still safely parked in the same parking spot. Zenios watched Charlotte drive out of the parking lot before leaving the mall reluctantly. It was already nine o’clock at night, and this nationally famous city that never slept was still glistening and shining as though it was daytime. There was a cinema not far from the mall. A romantic movie had just finished airing at the moment, and the couples who had just left the cinema were hugging and laughing by the side of the road.

With the blinds wide open, someone with a high-end camera might capture Matthew in his natural habitat. He paced the room, obviously lost in his own sea of thoughts. The woman was trying to introduce herself and even begged him to stop-----but he didn’t because he couldn’t. He couldn’t even recall her face, primarily because it was dark. He remembers her perfect silhouette against the soft light of the moon and her scent, lavender and berries. He was in heat and all logic and rationale was nonexistent last night. “Sir, are you alright?” “Silas, can you get me a copy of the CCTV footage from 10 to 5 AM?”

I ran until I couldn't run anymore, until I found myself standing in front of The Riverside Hotel three blocks away. The kind of place Damien and I couldn't afford but that businesspeople expensed without thinking about it. The lobby was all marble and gold accents. At the front desk, a young woman with perfect makeup smiled at me. "Can I help you?" "I need a room." My voice sounded distant. "Just for tonight." She didn't ask about luggage or why I looked like death. She just processed my credit card and handed me a key leading to Room 412. I made it inside, locked the door, and collapsed against it.

Jordan’s POV I starred at my screen for a couple of minutes before realizing what had actually just happened. So the person I had seen that day was John? I wasn’t hallucinating? He’s alive? But how? My mind raced with countless questions. Another text message came in. “Meet me at the public park at exactly 12am. Don’t text me. I’ll be the person doing the texting and I’ll be waiting for you.” It was 11:30pm and I couldn’t afford to lose this opportunity. If it was a scam, then I’d risk it. They’re just some certain things I need to know and only John can fill me in. I pulled up my trousers and stormed out of the bathroom.

Nancy's POV The club was bright and busy. Perfect place to get employed without anyone knowing, the music was loud and light barely showed the faces of people that filled the space, including me. It was an exclusive club, expensive, filled with men that had more money than morals. I told Nathaniel that I worked as a waitress outside campus. Although the lies made me feel guilty every time, but at least it kept him from asking questions I couldn't answer. I was almost done with my set on the side stage when the VIP section lit up. A private party filled with Elite clients. The kind of people that didn’t think before spending, sometimes, they wanted a show and other times, they wanted more.

It simply stood there, staring at the farmhouse with a terrifying, unblinking focus. By Thursday, the atmosphere on the farm had curdled. The chickens stopped laying. The farm dog, a brave hound named Buster, refused to leave the porch, whimpering whenever the wind blew the scent of the goat toward him. And then there were the sounds at night—not the sounds of an animal, but the sound of something heavy dragging itself in circles, accompanied by a low, rhythmic thrumming that vibrated through the floorboards. On Friday evening, the circus people arrived.
