The Night Feeder Novels & Stories

Even as naïve as I was, I sensed the connection. He broke away. Shoulders heaving and face a dark cloud. “Tomorrow night.” He vowed. “I will be inside you Lyra Lani. And by morning, you’ll be screaming my name.” *** I was hungry. I needed to eat. Tonight was the Full Moon, the Mating Moon. And the males would be hunting. For breeders. And I don’t intend to be one of them! I slinked from my hut. Closing the door as quietly as I could.

“Night is first, which starts at ten. It’s primarily for adults, not because of the drinking, but because of the added danger of the forest. Plus, there are some shady folk who come to trade during Night. But there’s dragons, potions, and enchanted crystals, so you have to come! It’s a huge festival, so it’s impossible to host it at the center of town. Day is next, which starts at six in the morning. Still just as fun as Night, but a lot safer for the family crowds.” “Oh, I have to come?” I teased, tapping my chin. “Well, I suppose it does sound fun.” “And you have the added bonus of driving your mate insane.” She snickered, her eyes shimmering wickedly. “If you ask me, I’d be surprised if h

--- Moonlight spilled through the stone windows of the estate corridor, laying a pale silver sheet over the flagstones. The morning after the wedding, Luna woke in the estate's master bedroom. The day before the wedding, Rex had knocked open the entire south-facing stone wall and installed a floor-to-ceiling window. He said there was a rare bird in the northern pine forests called the Snowfeather. It only appeared once a year, in early spring. She had woken at three every morning in the laundry. She had never seen that bird. Now she could watch it whenever she wanted. She lay on her side in the center of the bed, the blanket kicked down to her waist. The scent in the bedding now came from se

The Nightfang raven found them two mornings later. They’d camped high, just below the treeline, where the wind came knife‑sharp off the peaks, and the sun took its time slanting down into the hollows. Frost crackled underfoot when Rin stepped away from the fire to stretch, breath pluming white. A dark shape rode the updrafts above them, wings wide, catching light on glossy feathers. It circled once twice, then folded and dropped in a clean, controlled fall that ended with a flutter of wings and a hop onto a low boulder near Kael’s saddle.

"Did you know that dullahans have literal nightmares as steeds? As in the levitating spectral demon horses usually only commanded by the King of Dreams?" I stood up, making a shot for the garbage can with my cup. It bounced off the rim and scared a stray tabby cat. Well if that wasn't a metaphor for this conversation, I don't know what was. "Because I sure as hell didn't when I'd asked him to take me home!" Fun fact: Nightmares are actually very sweet once you get past the teeth. Not so fun fact: They like sudden drops when flying. "Promise. Details," Noelle threatened with a current of magenta magic sparking at her fingers. "Now!"

The thin man looked up at her. “I might be short on cash,” she reasoned. “I’ll leave by morning. I just need a place to stay for the night.” She took a deep breath. She followed the vendor when he started pedaling his bike. According to him, his mother rented out bed spaces, and there was a vacant one since a girl had just moved out. Their house wasn’t far from where they met, so she was able to rest quickly after they arrived, and she was introduced to the vendor’s mother.

The dark rose from the grave and in the remote area, outskirts of the Sunfort City, a cult appeared out of nowhere. All of them were wearing long black clocks, covering their heads and faces. As they all stood in the circle, one of them stepped forward and sat in the middle of the circle. The deserted place was abandoned for a long time and no one had ever thought of running through it. That place had become a home to a kind of creature, called The NightCrawlers.

The shared rhythm between them. Connection. The feeder hated that rhythm. It scraped against it like a thorn. Mirra’s voice was steady when she spoke. “It’s caught,” she said. “But not dead.” Selene’s breath was ragged. “Then what?” Mirra lifted her gaze, eyes hard. “Then we find out what it is,” she said. “And who sent it.” Because feeders didn’t just wander into sanctuaries by accident. And the way this one adapted—learned—spoke of a hunger with purpose.

ANDY’S POV I barely slept a wink last night and I seriously hate the fact I couldn’t because I tried so much to just close my eyes but my own words kept hunting me. Maybe I was too harsh on Angela last night and I realized that like few hours into the night. I run my hand through my hair as I swing my feet off the bed and walk into the living room. I did not have dinner yesterday because of what happened and I was feeling so hungry right now. I step into the kitchen to fix something for myself, and settle for some leftover pizza, literally wolfing it down in seconds
