The Night Sun Bl Novels & Stories

The hours slipped away as they lost themselves in each other; the moon hung high in the sky, casting a slivering glow over them, a witness to their fervent explorations; gasps and moans filled the room. They went until dusk, every moment a testament to Damian's insatiable desire. They finally collapsed into each other's arms. Blue stirred awake, the warm golden rays of the sun spilling over her, streaming through the expansive glass walls of Damian's room. The view was breathtaking as the beach stretched before her. As she tried to sit, a sharp pain shot through her back, a reminder of the previous night. She checked her phone—1:00 pm. After a quick shower, she dressed in a bikini with a loo

On the final day of our graduation trip, an extreme heat wave struck without warning. I was unfortunate enough to suffer heat exhaustion, but my girlfriend, Claire Whitmore, gave all the electrolyte water to her male best friend, Alex Sterling. “You’re usually in good health, and you know first aid. Just drink some bottled water and take a break. “But Alex is different. He’s always been physically weak. If he doesn’t replenish his electrolytes, something could go wrong.” Too dizzy to argue, I had no choice but to ask the other members of our group for help. Instead, they rolled their eyes at me. “Daniel Hayes, there’s a limit to how jealous you can get.” “Claire is just taking extra c

I had taken some blankets and pillows from the house and made a place where we could enjoy just being together. This place I had found was perfect. It gave just enough privacy that no one would be able to see us, but the trees opened to give us a perfect view of the sky. Sabastian, Hunter’s father had told me there was supposed to be an aurora borealis tonight and I hadn’t known what it was until he explained that it was when the sun interacted with the earth’s outer atmosphere, causing the sky to light up with different colors.

Joseph felt the wind knocked out of him as he heard the whistle followed by the loudest sound he's ever heard in all his 16 years under the Tau Ceti sun. A whiz and BOOM. Whiz and BOOM. Explosion after explosion came pummeling down onto them. An unending barrage of terrifying heat and sound and fireball crashed all around them. Joseph covered his face as clods of disturbed earth pelted and rained down on him. His screams were drowned out by the loud thunders. It went on forever. Until it didn't. Then it stopped. He heard nothing afterwards except the constant ringing in his ear.

"We don't cage her. We guide her." Xavier finally stopped pacing. "Then tomorrow... she hears the truth." The Black Sun's Final Pulse They thought it was over when the eclipse began to pass. The sun peeked out once more—weak, pale, but visible. Until it pulsed. Ceres looked up. "That's not light." "No," Maera whispered. "That's fire. Someone's casting a beacon." Over the ruins of the Flame Temple, a dark-red flare shot into the sky. The clouds twisted. Flame symbols etched into the sky.

Each nation, including the wind community has a special day that comes around every so often where their powers are significantly heightened. The Night nation’s day is called the day of Serenity. The day that the moon covers the sun. “The day of Serenity is here Sekora, so you must be ready! Said Stefan with urgency in his voice. “What’s the day of Serenity and what am I supposed to be ready for?” asked Sekora still wondering what was going on. “It’s the day when the sun covers the moon and the Night nation gets immense power.” Said Dejon pulling the globe from her dress pocket to show Sekora what was going on.

The spotlight had shifted, and their story was far from over. Luna’s gaze swept across the horizon, where the sun dipped into the ocean, turning the waves to molten gold. She turned to Adrian, voice soft but fierce. “We’ve passed the fire, Adrian, now it’s time to light the next one.” Adrian’s fingers tightened around hers. “Then let’s teach them how to hold it,” he whispered. The children stirred in their cribs, small cries of life mingling with the waves, as the sun disappeared beneath the horizon, and in that quiet, perfect moment, Luna realized one thing with certainty: The spotlight never dies, it just finds new flames.

We still have to lead our lives, we’re still individual people. I pull my uniform on and brush through my hair, telling myself to forget about it. Valen still sleeps when I walk back out so I decide to leave him to rest, and head into the Command Deck. The sky is still dark outside and when I look out, I only see the peak of the mountain beginning to have a silhouette as the sun makes its way around the globe. I can’t hear anything through the thickness of the ship, but I can see the vague form of a bird as it soars through the air. I see a beast dart through the clearing, heading back into the trees.

I squinted and gave the bomb expert a half-smile. "There’s no need to waste time with words.” "Just do your thing, and quick." He nodded and got down to business with his tools. I licked my back teeth. Great. Now of all times I was dying for a smoke. The afternoon in Safrana? It was blazing hot. I had been standing in the blazing sun for what felt like an eternity, and it seemed like the sun was trying to cook me alive.

The dawn that broke over the Ravine was not the soft gold of a Northern spring. It was a harsh, terrifying white. High above the atmosphere, the Southern Council’s mirror-satellites were shifting, catching the unfiltered intensity of the sun and focusing it into a singular, lethal beam. The air already tasted of ozone, and the ancient snow on the peaks of the Frost-Pins was beginning to weep, turning into torrents of meltwater that roared down the cliffs.
